Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Each room had its private balcony with a gorgeous view!!! Of many years of travel, I would say they have the best hot tub - and my back appreciates it.

Great view of the sunset over the bay and room was super clean and in a great location to access the main road to the beach. Breakfast was good but I did wish they didn’t use disposable dishes/silverware since it made it hard to cut the waffles and keep plates from flying around in the breeze.

This place never disappoints. I reserved a room last year and had a couch and thought I would have same this year as my son came with me. When I got into my room it didn't have a couch just one bed. So I went to the desk and they immediately set me up in another room that accommodated. They always try to please and go over and above to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The breakfast is free and it is plentiful and has a variety of breakfast foods from cereal to eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and even waffles. Waffles. The coffee was delicious as well. There are two pools, one indoor one outdoor and an exercise room. They even have a laundry facility for guests. everything is clean and well maintained. The cherry on top is that it is reasonably priced! This has been my go-to for the past couple of years and will be for years to come.

This property is absolutely beautiful and convenient to everything. Every room has a balcony and the sunsets were gorgeous. Staff was super friendly and the homemade complimentary breakfast was the best we have ever had. We would definitely like to come here again one day.

The cleanest hotel I've stayed in. The property is super clean and the staff are friendly. The outdoor pool was very well maintained and never busy. The included breakfast was basic, but good.

Fantastic views

Fantastic stay! The room was very clean. The views are incredible. There is a hot tub on the third floor that overlooks the bay. It is breathtaking during sunset. We will be back!

Nice getaway

We enjoyed a few days at Island Inn. Our room was spacious with a recliner sofa and table and chairs. We had a nice view from our balcony. The room could use some updates, but was clean.Breakfast was ok, the same each day which my husband enjoyed. We would stay again.

All the rooms have a view of the bay and daily sunsets. Indoor and outdoor pools were nice looking. The breakfast building was a diner like experience with indoor and outdoor covered porch seating and provided self service breakfast options: scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee, and toaster options, etc. It was always clean, with a very attentive staff.

The Island Resort gets you away from any corporate hotel feel and gives you a sense of the beauty of Chincoteague island. With rooms and a large dock situated right on a quiet canal, you have unobstructed views across Chincoteague Bay westward, and some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The continental breakfast is well-served and let us relax in the morning without having to travel, allowing us to sit along the water's edge and enjoy the mornings. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay on the island, the staff our very friendly and accommodating, and the pricing is very reasonable..

Wi-Fi was poor. 1 or 2 bars at best prevented access to email, weather channel, Sirius radio. air conditioner was extremely loud when the compressor came on. a/c blew directly on one side of the bed. otherwise the room was very private and quiet. balcony had wonderful views. continental breakfast was very good.

Loved hotel , location, amenities. Staff could not be more helpful and pleasant. Our only concern was our a/c was making loud noises intermittently that caused vibrations to be felt on the bed and furniture, and whistling sounds when it turned off. We reported twice but by the time we checked out it had not been addressed. I will still choose Island Resort as my first choice again.

Lovely

Perfect in every way with only one issue: the air conditioner was very loud at times and luckily, it was cool enough to sleep with the balcony door open which has a screen. It would not stop me from coming again, yet it was potentially annoying....
