We stayed at the Elliebum hotel for five nights, based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. The hotel is on a quiet street in the Old Town and is within walking distance for some of the main attractions in Chiang Mai. There are other hotels, restaurants, shops and places for massage on the same street.
The hotel is located on a quiet side street. At night, there is not much activity on the street so need to be careful when walking around. Hotel is within walking distance to some of the main attractions such as the Wat Chedi Luang and the Saturday market.
There is no elevator. We knew this based on the reviews, however we underestimated the effort to haul three suitcases up and down three flights of stairs. However, staff did provide some assistance. Walls are thin. We could hear the guests in the next room talking and watching tv at midnight.
Rooms are clean and the water pressure and temperature of the rainfall shower were good. Two bottles of water are provided daily . Complementary laundry service for a *few* items daily, provided with our room reservation.
Helpful front desk staff who always greeted me when I came back to the hotel at night. Very helpful in providing directions and assistance with transportation.
Delicious Western and Thai options are available for breakfast. There were a few days when the to-go breakfast was late even though it was ordered the night before.
Overall we had a pleasant stay there and it is a good choice for staying in Chiang Mai.
