Great Find

A great place to stay in Chang Mai. Great location next to the river. Very relaxing spending time here, away from the traffic with the river views from your window. The owner and his cats are lovely too!

Etwas schwer zu finden, jedoch wenn dann ist diese kleine Pension wundervoll um etwas ruhe vom Chiang Mai Trubel zu erleben. Sehr netter Betreiber der kleinen Anlage. Preis-Leistung stimmt und bei Bedarf kann man Stand-Up-Paddeling, Yoga, Rollerbedarf oder diverse Essenswünsche anmelden, die dann schnell erfüllt werden. Wir haben uns sehr Wohlgefühl. Nahe am Nightmarket.

Nicest surprise!

Talk about a special place! Scenic, comfortable, quiet, and very beautiful. On the river where you can paddleboard into town! Great staff who were sincere and helpful.

핑강 옆에 있는 전망 좋은 곳입니다. 젊은 부부가 아버지와 함께 운영하며 친절하게 대해줍니다만 건물이 낡아 보수를 하면 좋겠다는 생각이 듭니다(보편적인 한국인 생각). 1976년 경부터 이 게스트하우스를 운영하고 있고 여사장님은 패들링보트도 탈 수 있게 운영합니다만 핑강이 너무 오염되어 그다지 맘이 내키지는 않았습니다. 아무튼 전망이 좋은 것으로 큰 이점을 갖고 있습니다.

Great little hideaway

Lovely little place with a great owner and very relaxed feeling overall. Very peaceful spot on the river. The location is a little hard to find at first, but it’s honestly an excellent spot for getting around and very close to a lot of the night markets and stuff. Would definitely stay here again.

The Ban Narai River Guesthouse is an absolute oasis surrounded by beauty and peace situated along the Ping River. The room was very comfortable and clean, with daily maintenance and top notch attention to detail and comfort for the guests. The whole property was treated as such by everyone in the family and we felt so much at home. Access to the property was through a private lane with family on guard 24/7 and we we felt very safe and secure. With all the services provided we felt like we were staying at a 5 star resort, with your privacy respected and your every needs met. Even though we did not partake in the paddle boarding, it was a pleasure to see Kun O offering daily fun paddle boarding adventures on the river. Thank you with all our hearts Kun O, Kun B, Kun Pop and all of Ban Narai family for giving us a most enjoyable experience of our trip to Thailand. We can’t wait for you to visit us in Hawaii:)

Our stay was amazing. The guesthouse was cozy, comfy and right by Ping river which is very convenient for getting around for Yee Ping festival. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful: although we checked in early and out a bit late, they let us use their guest facilities. Very much appreciated!!

Great homestay next to the river.

O (that is his name) the owner was great. He got me situated in my room (there are six rooms). The room was clean and had good AC. The yard was nice too. If it is not too hot outside you can relax on the patio. There are rollout mats that you can lay on that are quite nice. The bathroom was nice. There is an actual shower with a curtain. They also have a laundry service for 50 Baht per KG. Overall it was great!

Das einfache, aber doch liebevoll eingerichtete Gästehaus liegt sehr idyllisch direkt am Fluss, die Betreiber sind superfreundlich. Trotz der Mücken und dem Manko, dass die Räume ziemlich hellhörig sind, würden wir es wieder buchen. Auch wer der drei verspielten Katzen! Zum Night Bazar sind es nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß - sehr praktisch!

Off the beate path

One night visit and the hotel an location were very good for the intended purpose. It is very hard to find and, despite consultation with ther drivers at the airport, my taxi got me only close to the location. A bit of tramping required but I had only hand luggage. Less fun if you have more stuff.

Peaceful and close by centrum

A small private resort by the river and near by restaurants, night marked and city life. Great place to stay, peaceful and cosy. Mr O the owner is very service friendly and helpful, I would for sure stay there again if back in Chiang Mai. Great Vietnamese restaurant at the main road a few minutes walk from the resort, there is also great coffee bar near by and breakfast Places at the main road. There is a trust bar at the resort where you write up what you take for drink, but no breakfast. Mr O has paddle boards for rent and it might be a great way to explore the river.

Lovely stay but bright lights all night

Very helpful management and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Overall good value for money. Only problem was very bright lights shining into the room all night, so hard to sleep. This could easily be solved with blackout curtains. Bed pretty hard but this is only a problem if you need a soft bed [I have old hips].

Lovely gem

Lovely spot on the river. This hotel is simple yet very clean and tidy. Private bathrooms and air coditioning. Walk to Night Bazaar in 5 minutes. The only down side is if you need to silence to sleep you will not find it here. Being across from the river the street noise does remain constant all thru the night. We would stay here again and you can’t beat the value. Side note: if you are allergic to cats recommend not staying here as they have quite a few friendly cats wandering about.

Relaxen am Fluss

Das Guesthouse liegt schön gelegen am Fluss. Auch zur Altstadt und dem Nachtmarkt ist es nicht weit.Es ist etwas spartanisch eingerichtet aber nicht ungemütlich. Der Eigentümer und besonders Pop sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Die Badezimmer und die Böden wurden während unseres Aufenthaltes auf Vordermann gebracht weswegen wir die letzten zwei Nächte im Nachbarguesthouse verbracht haben. Welches aber meiner Meinung nicht an die entspannte Atmosphäre des Ban Narai rankommt.Da wir das Ergebnis teilweise schon in Augenschein nehmen konnten werden wir auf alle Fälle wieder kommen.
