Beautiful Cheow Larn lake inside the amazing Khao Sok National Park. Although it is somewhat well known and visited, it is still missed by the bulk of travelers transiting from the Andaman and gulf islands. There are many floating bungalows to stay at ranging from basic bamboo no fan or aircon all the way to 5 star private bath suites. Visit caves and take jungle walks and view the amazing flora and fauna of the rain forest that is older and more diverse than the Amazon rain forest #Adventure

Khao Sok National Park was dedicated in December 1980, and shortly thereafter dammed in 1982 creating the largest freshwater lake in Thailand, known as Cheow Larn Lake. The area was ultimately saved due to a pandemic that wiped out the local population, giving it the name “Khao Sop” - Corpse Mountain. It then witnessed guerrilla warfare, providing an ideal location for natural protection, which ultimately discouraged logging and hunting industries from taking form. Today it exists as an adventure playground with cave excursions, boat rides, and floating bungalow rentals. #History #Thailand

I luv to have my vacation here!!! Good place to relax but only one thing...u can't swim at the sea infront of the hotel. We have to walk around 10 mins to another beach to swim. But the rest is so good.
