"Set in a quiet village centre; this hotel was just lovely. A warm welcome from the host, who explained everything about the room and gave me pointers to all the restaurants/bars nearby. Comfy bed, lovely shower and bath, Nespresso machine, smart TV which also had BBC 1/2/News for us travelling from the UK. I travelled to the country by train and there is an excellent bus service from Amsterdam to Monnickendam; where it's about a 10 minutes walk to the hotel. No need for cash as they take...

"Pro: Good location, 5mins walk from Centraal Station and walking distances to any attractions such as Anne Frank House, Dam Square, have supermarket and cafe restaurant nearby. Rooms are clean Con: No elevator and stairs are very steep.Only 1 shower room for shared bathroom. Not recommended for travellers with baggage bigger than cabin size, and elderly people. Price is not reasonable."

"Based on the picture that is given online, it is a little deceptive as the room was a lot smaller than expected. In saying that, one has to remember that the older properties in Amsterdam are very narrow, to cram in many rooms, then the rooms are not going to be that large.
