Liked the location and the behavior of staff. Room amenities very poor. Remote of the TV not functioning, No list of intercom nos for room service, No hot water facility in the AC room, bathroom window panes unclean and unsafe. Food in the restaurant very poor. Food infection happened after consuming curd which was spoiled. Overall poor experience and hence will not be recommended in these conditions. Very poor and unprofessional way of managing the business.

Hotel is situated close to temple. I didn't get Kerala style food in their restaurant, bit disappointed. But both restaurant and hotel staff were very kind. Worth for money, will choose this hotel next time.

AC WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. EVEN AT 17 DEGREE TEMPERATURE, NO COOLING EFFECT. BATH ROOM LOCK DEFECTIVE FROM OUTSIDE. EARLIRR EHEN I DIRECTLY BOOKED THE ROOM, IT WAS NICE MSY BE FOR ONLINE. BOOKING THEY WOULD HAVE PROVIDED A DIFFERENT ROOM. OVERALL EXPERIENCE NOT HAPPY.

Stay at Guruvayoor.
Good thing about this hotel is that it is walking distance from the Guruvayoor Temple. Reception was very pleasing . Even though the room is average the Bathroom was very clean.there is a small restaurant in the compound hotel don’t Provide room service .

U can feel the difference between government and private. Good area. But no attention. Ur blood will boil to spoil our tax property. As per their own staff...Almost 95% staff on daily wage or contract. I heard only one kitchen staff only direct. Maintenance going on.

Very nice stay
I booked this hotel for my parents and the enjoyed their stay. Hotel staffs were courteous and rooms were clean and comfortable. Will consider this hotel again for staying.

The water heater in the bathroom was not working nor was the TV. Room service was almost non-existent. Great with regard to the location, overall room cleanliness and size, staff were friendly.

Room and staff were good, but no facilities, like room service not available, no shampoo or conditioner, TV channels, except Malayalam, are not available, No tea/coffee early in the morning if u want to leave the hotel early.....overall not a memorable experience....

Budget Hotel :I wish they manage it well
Pros: Cheap compared to other hotels in Guruvayur .Very good ambiance,it is some 15 minutes away from Guruvayur east nada(By walk) .Very calm surroundings.Lots of trees and Green cover inside the hotel campus .Bath rooms were treated nice and were hygiene.Hot water facility is also good Cons: Like any govt managed institution in India,it is badly managed.It seemed to me that the room was painted at least 10 year back.Furniture was also very old .AC was sounding terrible .Not sure if it was an AC or just a cooler. Bed sheets were OK but blankets were in very bad condition.Room service is not so good.But the receptionists did respond to us on a timely manner.There is a KTDC restaurant and not sure about their timings. Things to Note :1)I had opted for two deluxe rooms and it seemed to me later that the Premium room were bit more attractive on an additional cost of some 300-400 RS (At least the room looked bit fresh than deluxe rooms.Everything else(Furniture,service etc etc remains the same) 2)It will be nice to carry a bed sheet and a blanket with you along with tooth paste and brush etc.They will only provide some Ayurvedic soap (I think it was Medimix) 3)There were mosquitoes outside the room,so make necessary precautions and additional precautions if you have infants or toddlers with you

Hotel KTDC Nandanam - Guruvayoor
Stayed there for 2 days. Its an average hotel, without much negatives to highlight. Since the intention of the trip was temple visit, we didnt get much time to spend in the room. A small decent room, if you compare with other hotels in the vicinity. If you dont expect a star rated treatment, you will like this hotel.

Has to face surprise upon reaching there
I booked through expedia, and expedia did not give me any info about checkin time. After reaching there, the hotel guy did not allow me to check in at 7 am, saying expedia bookings are allowed only after 11am. Then, I had to request that hotel guy to allow me as I had my kids with me and I told him that I will checkout same day evening.

Slightly away from the temple, but very peaceful.
Was good. The place has considerably improved. The staff is very cooperative and courteous. Barring the bed, linen and towels all other facilities were quite good for a pilgrim centre. The above three could improve considerably. Comparatively the tariff is quite low on a value for money basis.

The lady at the reception was the personification of courtesy.The lunch was good and the food was ok..Room service was good.A very good experience.

Not worth the money paid
We stayed in the Hotel Nandanam for a day on 28-Oct-2013. We booked the hotel after reading few reviews on the internet that it was a good value for money hotel. But our experience has been completely disappointing. The hotel rooms are dusty, unclean with crumbling bathroom doors, windows which don't close properly. We were completely disappointed to have have paid 1300rs for such a room. It is a very normal room with ac and heater. The only good thing about the hotel is the location as it is near the railway station and about 5min walk to the temple.
