Definitely recommend renting a car to drive into the capital town of Argostoli, it was like a 10 minute drive. Such a cheaper alternative...

The area was really quiet allowing us to relax with no worries. Only 500 metres to Melissani lake/cave also a bonus. Coastal path into Sami took around 25-30 mins at a leisurely pace. There were 3 restaurants nearby in Karavomylos but plenty in Sami. There is a mini-market on the square for essentials but best go into...
