Really cool room with great bathroom. Limited on-site parking, don‘t bring a car that is higher or wider than a skoda citygo otherwise it won‘t fit the parking entrance. City is not very nice, the peer area at night is okay.

PERFECT LOCATION, BIG FAMILY ROOM WITH A HUGE BACONY. THE PARKING WAS A MAGICAL SOLUTION, SINCE THE CITY IS BUSY.

L'hôtel est très bien situé, juste à côté de la promenade du front de mer. D'un accès très facile à partir de l'entrée de ville, l'hôtel possède en outre un petit parking souterrain qui permet d'y garer son véhicule s'il est très petit. Plusieurs très bons restaurants à proximité où l'on mange pour des prix très raisonnables.

Very friendly and helpful staff

We only spent one night here, but the staff - who spoke excellent English - were very helpful in booking our transfer to the airport. Just a block back from the harbour and very good value.

Friendly hotel staff

The hotel staff is very friendly; they went above and beyond to help us. The hotel is old but the location is good. Bathroom needs remodeling. The parking is freekingly narrow to get in and maneuver inside. Really, really narrow parking entrance.

Το ξενοδοχειο αυτο ειναι στο κεντρο της χαλκιδας κ αυτο ειναι το καλυτερο στοθχειο του! Ως προς το εσωτερικο του ειναι καθαρο, το δωματιο μεγαλο κι ευρυχωρο, απλο και οτι πρεπει για διαμονη μιας ή δυο ημερων. Παρολ αυτα δε θα το προτεινα σε καποιον που θελει να μεινει πολλες μερες.

Halkis- John's Hotel- My excellent stay

I had a really great time in Halkis. The hotel was in the center of town near the train station and the the famous waterfront. Excellent location. The staff very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and tidy each day. Impeccable. I always had access to WIfi.I came in a trouble time in Greece- the bank crisis. The staff supported me throughout my staff. You can count on there advice all the time- places to eat and recommendations. I felt very secure in the hotel. This hotel should be called St. John's!

The room we're given at first was like a hostel room. The second option was slightly better. But, no way, to match to 3* hotel. Staff - good, kind. Parking, - with small car. more or less, - ok, but I with a bigger one would be impossible to get in. Hotel is smoking free. So, is a stinky all around. Location - good, close to everything. We didn't book a breakfast (10eur/person,- what seems to be too much. So, no ideas about it. Opposite the hotel is a Harry's coffee,- perfect place to take your coffee and some pastries (we paid 9eur for 2pers.)
