"A lovely venue in the countryside where we stayed for a music event. Very nice spacious and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Was just missing hangers in the wardrobe. Would have been nice to have EV charging available."

"Stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and spacious. Good facilities in room but it was incredibly hot during our visit so a fridge in room would have improved our stay as no air conditioning but not many days in England you would need it. Breakfast was lovely, small but everything you could want. Evening menu was a bit limited and I probably would go somewhere else for an evening meal. The staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful."

"A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !"

"Beautifully decorated and furnished hotel, lovely food and Breakfast was fantastic. Like most older buildings the room was not air conditioned and was a little too warm overnight despite a fan being in the room. Overall would throughly recommend it unless mid-summer. Parking was good and very close to Stratford-upon-Avon"

"Well positioned in the town. Impressive looking building, lovely vibe inside and gorgeous outdoor seating area. We were staying in room 12 which is very small. It was a hot night, so the room was baking, hence we had the window open but a gang of 12-15 pigeons live (noisily) just outside the window! The windowsill was covered in bird poo which was not nice. Shower great and nice to have an Nespresso machine and complimentary water. Bed and pillows too soft for me, but personal choice."

"This inn is in the perfect location to explore the Cotswalds without a car. It's an easy walk from the train station. We took a few day trip tours while there and enjoyed the Tuesday market. We also took the train to Bath for the day. The inn itself has a great old pub and dining room and a lovely courtyard that all serve meals or just a drink. "The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with great views, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what guests expect and they deliver with ease, the rooms are unique and comfortable which complement the amazing views The car park is ample and safe for hotel guests and for restaurant diners our continental breakfast was great and accompanied by a barista coffee, well worth the visit and looking forward to visiting again "

"Small quaint hotel but no AC in the month of May forced us to leave windows open to the Main Street noise until 2am making isn’t virtually impossible to sleep. They should at least provide fans in each room"

"Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace. "

"Quite a good and decent and beautiful 4 star hotel. Service and staff were however far from being 4 star hotel. I had water run out in my bathroom while having shower, very laughable. Breakfast was incredibly poor and not representative of 4 star hotel."

"The snacks in the reception are ALL high in sugar. To use the hairdryer it needs to be pressed down at all times which is very frustrating. A simple on and off switch much more practical and makes it easier to use for people with joint issues. Shampoo is kindly supplied maybe it would be possible to supply a little conditioner!? The staff is super friendly and helpful 🌼🌼"
