Top Center for American Archeology Visitor s Center & Museum Hotel Reviews
William Watson Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"A must stop for any history lover. Beautiful building! AC was sufficient, parking was easy even though the hotel is on a main road. Our room was in the middle of the building so we didn’t hear much road noise. And yes it’s on a main road, but this is a small town so the traffic isn’t anything major. Plus the rooms in the front get lovely views of the old historic courthouse just steps away. Would definitely stay again."
"Very nice welcoming front desk staff. Pool and pool table, plus some casino style gaming (I think. We didn't do this). Typical chain hotel but nothing broken or worn out! Hot breakfast."
"The toilet seat broke in the middle of the night, and there was no one to call. They offered to move me to a different room the next morning, as maintenance didn't come in until 10. I decided to check out and go home instead. Also, there was no hot breakfast, just cold cereal and danish."
"We did some volunteer work in Jacksonville that required 3 different times of staying several night each time. One several day stay we had 3 rooms. Each time we were all impressed!
This hotel was amazing! The employees were so helpful and so kind. We saw them going above and beyond in the cleaning and upkeep of the hotel.
I would totally recommend staying here as it is cleaner than some hotels that are 3 times the money.
We would totally recommend this for anyone."
"The rooms were kept clean, and organized and well supplied. Definitely dated in need of updating. staff was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was good had a good variety of breakfast foods. . Could use some half-and-half for the coffee. Plenty of parking."
"Clean hotel. Free popcorn. Breakfast was very basic. Staff was a bit over the top about towel usage. A bit pricey for what you get but not much available in the area."
"When I arrived, the desk clerk seemed more attentive to the children playing in the lobby than to me. She provided good directions when I said I needed to find a store."
