"Stunning! We stayed in the 2 bed suite is the Casio de campo building…it was like staying in a millionaire decorators apartment!! Huge patio to a stunning view of the mountains/vineyards. Wanted to cancel the rest of our trip and stay there. Breakfast was wonderful. Wine tasting unparalleled!"

"The hotel is situated halfway up the hill, overlooking the softly winding Douro River and its surrounding landscapes. Birds chirp in the mountains, and the occasional sound of dogs barking only adds to the tranquility. The room is very clean and bright, and you can enjoy the beautiful view while lying in bed. "A hotel set in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and the dog. The room was a good size and had a balcony with a hammock and lake view.
The breakfast was good, with freshly cooked eggs.
The food in the evening was a bit limited; only one choice of a main meal but there were numerous bar snacks and sharing platters.
Not really a problem though, as there was a restaurant 5 minutes walk down the road.
In all a very enjoyable stay"
