I love the area as it was quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for a peace away from home then this place of heaven is for you. No wifi, no TV just pure serenity. We stayed here for 10 days and it was amazing. The owner looked after us, Roger and Lourdes. The staff are great and gracious and always ready to open the gate for us. It's a big bonus to a cat and dog lover like me and my partner, they have a dog named handsome and cutie cats. It was a memorable experience.

Rest and tranquility

Roger and Filimina are great. They greet their guests warmly and graciously. The premises reflect their labor of love and personal touch from design and build of the building to the lovely landscaping throughout. And the views from the perch above the main highway affords tranquility and respite for the weary travellor and the city escapee for the weekend. I extended my 3 night stay to 5. It's a wonderful way to while away the day.

Very satisfied

The property is set along the road and offers a great view overlooking the sea. I stayed in the eco room which provides everything including a kettle and drinking water. Earplugs recommended for the night 'cause the traffic down below maybe troublesome. Very friendly welcome from Roger who is a gentleman and thank you for the papaya straight from the garden. I am an addict and it was one of the best I tasted :-) P.s. Don't forget to change the mattress ;-)

Nice ocean view, friendly people, clean room and everything, but unfortunately in the middle of nowhere. If you don't have your own car or motorcycle, then don't go.

Great management and staff. I highly recommend staying at the High steps pension. I’m ready to retire and move to the Philippines because of the great experience I had at the High steps pension. You will enjoy your visit to the Philippines and stay at the high steps pension.

Ocean View Hotel

If you are looking for a nice peaceful and scenic hotel, high on the hill overlooking the ocean. This is the place to be. Roger and his wife are excellent hosts, who will help you with anything you need. The studio rooms all have air con. and hot showers, with comfortable beds. A kitchenette, refrigerator, mini gas stove with cooking utensils, plates and silverware and a hot water maker for coffee or tea is also available with a purified water dispenser The only set back is that it does not have a restaurant there. The closest ones are about 3kms in Carmen or Catmon. The natural beauty of the grounds and views from the balcony's of your own room are very scenic. There is even a library with wi-fi available there too.

Clean, basic budget hotel.

This was a very basic, budget hotel. Very clean. It offered a small kitchenette, clean water, and beautiful views. I don’t recommend staying there if you have trouble with stairs as it is situated on a hillside. Hot showers.
