Santa Maria Foris

"The staff at Santa Maria Foris were very friendly and welcoming, especially the ‘front of house’ lady. The room was of a very good size, quiet and cool (when outside it was 30+C). Nice shady and quiet gardens. Good WiFi, free coffee, and a garage for secure off-street parking. The hotel is very well located for all of the main historical sites, good restaurants and the main market. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed Ravenna. Thank you!"

"What an amazing experience! I travel tons for work and have stayed in various parts of Europe and North America. I am used to first tier and first world amenities. So I was really disappointed when our travel agent booked us a hotel in Ravenna with visible bed bugs. We opted out of that completely and so were looking for a hotel available same day close to Venice but in the countryside. We found it online and booked it same day. What an experience! Just finished staying at the Waldorf and the 4 seasons in Dana Point just a few days ago and this I can say by far rivals both experiences. The tastefully renovated hotel is everything my wife and I were looking for! The food at the restaurant was amazing. If you are looking for a clean first tier modern experience this hotel meets the needs. Highly recommended!"

Hotel Classensis

"We stayed here in Classe for two nights before leaving on a cruise out of Ravenna. We are a family of 6 and stayed in 2 Junior suites, which was perfect for us. The hotel is small, maybe 15 rooms total, and is right next to the Basilica di Sant'Apollinare with it's beautiful mosaics and city park. The staff is very helpful and kind (we used a lot of Google translate). Be aware that the office is closed from 12-4 so don't hope for an early check-in. They allowed us to store our luggage and we explored the town and ate lunch while waiting. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee excellent. We ate dinner at their restaurant on Saturday evening, which I highly recommend! The rooms are air-conditioned with a mini fridge, hair dryer and satellite TV so our boys could watch the world cup. In town, definitely try L'Angolo del Gelato di Classe - the gelato was exceptional and we stopped by twice. The train station is an easy walk from the hotel and a 5 minute train ride gets you to Ravenna."
