Few nights with family

Absolutely great few days in Altura. The beach is lovely and the hotel was great. We had renovated rooms which were nice and modern. The breakfast and the beach restaurant were very good.

Excellent food and staff a little gem of a hotel

A little gem on the algarve situated in a quiet little village The hotel needs updating in the bedrooms which they are doing but the food was superb and delicious lots of choice to suit every taste bud 😋. The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble they were friendly and very efficient could not praise them enough Maria remembered our room number after a couple of times which was good considering the amount of people there. Ideal location to the beach and the hotel was kept very clean. Would recommend to friends and would return for a quiet and relaxed holiday

Fresh start on the day

Pretty much as expected. There was no water the last morning so the goodbye impression did suffer. Cold bath on a Tuesday morning - NOT nice way of starting the day :(

Peaceful quality

A good quality hotel. Ideal setting/location for a quiet peaceful break. (We were there in March) Staff very attentive and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. Food well prepared and presented. The fabulous beach was literally on the doorstep. Would recommend the hotel to friends etc.

For a 4 star hotel one would expect more. The inside pool is tiny, with a capacity of 10 people and one must reserve a timeslot the day before. Unfortunately, if you want to go there with kids you can only go 10-12 or 18-20 - not very flexible to younger kids. Sauna broke and was not usable for a few days. Lots of little tiles missing in the pool so you may cut your feet on. General condition is shabby. Windows are not really clean, in many places there's a visible need for renovation. However, staff made up for it and was very friendly and helpful.

We absolutely enjoyed the beach, pool and breakfast and were charmed by the stray well behaved cat that frequented the outside lounging areas. The resort should thank the local cats for holding down any rodent problem by getting them fixed and providing a small area for them within the grounds where they could be fed and given fresh water daily. That investment would cost less than any exterminator service and ensure the stray cat population was properly managed. The view from our terrace was lovely. However, the tennis court, mini putt golf holes, water feature in the back by the swing set all needed maintenance which clearly has been ignored for sometime. With a bit of elbow grease, paint, new sand and putting surfaces these areas could be brought back and enjoyed instead of giving an overall dated and dilapidated feel to the resort. The water feature which has the bridge over which everyone must walk to head to the beach was stagnant with leaves, debris and even a dead bird floating around in it for the entire time we were there. Fill it in with sand or plant it if it cannot be kept up, but leaving it to be a haven for mosquito growth and rotting black birds is not only unsanitary it projects the opposite of what you want to have guest perceive. Two of the elevators state the wrong floor prior to the doors opening. The rooms and hallways are a bit dated, but kept clean and usable. The AC units work, but are loud. Frankly, the outside complex could use a coat of paint.

Um lugar para desfrutar e descansar

Eu costumo me hospedar no hotel, desde 2019. Os quartos superiores são muito confortáveis, ao contrário dos standart (que são diminutos e desconfortáveis, especialmente aareade banho). O atendimento na recepção é sempre excelente e muito gentil, com destaque para a Sra Cidália. O pequeno almoço precisa de ajustes, tanto com relação à organização dos equipamentos (torradeira muitas vezes sem a montagem adequada), e mais zelo na confecção dos alimentos (pãeszinhos caracóis mal cozidos, bacon queimado, frutas cortadas de véspera, por vezes já deteriorando) etc. E o atendimento no pequeno almoço não andou bem no mês de setembro, com empregados a chegar 30 minutos após a abertura do salão, fazendo com que pratos, loiças, talheres, copos e xícaras usados fossem se acumulando nas mesas. Enfim, é o único ponto que precisa de ajustes. A ideia de colocar música ao vivo à noite foi fantástica. Músicos realmente de 1ª linha, com repertório excelente. Cria um ambiente especial. É um lugar que repito sempre que posso e recomendo. A praia é fantástica e está a escassos passos do hotel.

Absolut rigtig godt

Det var et dejligt ophold. Hvis vi skal sige noget der er mindre godt, skal det være en buffet, vi tilkøbte. De fisk der var på buffeten, var en bradepande med kartofler og nogle fisk vi ikke kunne finde. Det andet var en ukendt fisk som ikke var renset for ben. Der var mere ben end der var fisk. Så vi har over alt være rigtig glade for vores ophold, men aftenbuffeten kunne vi godt undvære. Jeg har det lidt skidt med at sige det, fordi vi vil til enhver tid tage tilbage til dette hotel. Personalet var enestående søde servicen var i top rengøring var rigtig fin så alt i alt er vi rigtig glade for stedet. De fortjener den største anerkendelse. Jeg ville hellere betale 50 € for buffeten i stedet for 26 € og så få en rigtig god menu.

Der Empfang im Hotel war freundlich und der Checkin verlief relativ unkompliziert und schnell. Der Gesamteindruck des Hotels war gut und gepflegt. Klar, es gibt Hotels die weitaus moderner aufgestellt/eingerichtet sind. Für uns war es leicht über unseren Erwartungen. Unsere Zimmer waren sehr sauber und wurde auch täglich sauber gehalten. Der Außen-/Poolbereich wurde auch täglich gereinigt und aufgeräumt und das Wasser im Pool war sauber. Das Publikum war eher im oberen Altersdurchschnitt, gefolgt von Familien mit Kindern - für uns passend. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend und qualitativ gut, jedoch ohne abwechselnde Speisen. An der Snackbar kann man Mittags eine kleine Auswahl an Speisen zu sich nehmen - Preise vergleichbar wie in D. Das Abendessen wurde nicht probiert, da wir auswärts gespeist haben - es gibt einige Möglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehr gut hat uns der Weg zum Strand gefallen, welcher sicher über Holzstege verlief und gepflegt war. Der Strand an sich ist super und sauber. Es können Sonnenschirme-/liegen angemietet werden - 18€/Tag. Wir haben uns 20m weiter direkt an den Sandstrand gelegt - hier sollte ein Schattenspender mitgebracht werden da keine Bäume/Palmen/etc. existieren. Uns als Familie hat der Aufenthalt gut gefallen.
