We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cashiers. A very clean room, friendly staff, the pantry and icehouse were very convenient and unique. The hotel restaurant was fantastic. We can't wait to come back again!
Front desk called at 2 pm that the room is ready for us, that was great! Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant served delicious meal at 20% for staying in their hotel. I will definitely come back.
Hotel Cashiers was perfect as a one night stay for our family. It was very clean, the owner was present and responsive, and it was easy to walk to a ton of places. We loved the “pantry” that had snacks, coffee, and tea 24/7.
This was a wonderful stay in a great location. I am always happy when I can walk places instead of driving, and you can walk to many great places to eat and shop. I am already planning our next (non-working) trip back up to the mountains, and plan to stay here again.
Oh and we also enjoyed our early morning visitor, Mo.
Entirely recently renovated and redecorated with much taste. Large room, great bedding. I loved the little pantry room accessible to guests with snacks and fruits. The outdoor fire pit and the open view are top
Was just one night - but had everything I needed. Very attentive staff who accommodated my late night arrival perfectly! Great check in and room had everything I needed.
Our hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We were pleased with the appearance and cleanliness of our room. It was well furnished with the essentials. We appreciated the quietness of the heat/ac system. Our bedding was nice and the mattress was very comfortable. We will be going back!
Overall very good. Food was acceptable. Room was very clean, but the bed was. Dry uncomfortable

We didn' t feel that is was a luxury hotel as advertised. It wasn't worth $300 a night. The pillows were flimsy! No microwave. The exhaust fan didn't do what it was suppose to and was way to noisy! The snack shack didn't have alot in it! Just wasn't what we expected! Staff was friendly! Bar didn't have a good selection of wines and wasnt much on the menuto eat. Will not be back!

Great spot, just needs some TLC
We loved our first experience at Hotel Cashiers when we first came about 2 years ago so of course we wanted to come back.
Pros: The staff are so friendly and helpful. The location is great, walking distance to most things in central Cashiers. Also, their restaurant is so so good!
Cons: Our towels had hair in them from previous guests, the bathtub didn't drain properly, there was food leftover from the previous guest in our refrigerator, and some of the surfaces in the room hadn't been wiped down. There was also dog poop in some of the common outdoor areas. At times, our room keypad wouldn't work requiring several attempts and waiting before being able to try again.
I know that there has likely been a high turnover in rooms with aid coming into help with disaster relief for the surrounding areas, so trying to be understanding. However, the lack of room cleanliness was a big issue.
This hotel stay ended up being a disappointment, especially for the price.
Positives: great location, close to all necessary points of interest, shops. Walking 1-2 min to a few places to eat or have coffee. The Kings size room was spacious, clean bathroom, digital door lock is very convenient. HVAC system worked well on all settings. Parking is convenient in front of the room, no stairs. Fresh supply of towels and toiletries available in the laundry room at all times. Front desk staff were polite. Area is quiet, no road noise at all. Very broad choice of TV channels.
Negatives: There was not one single drawer in the room! No dresser, no desk, not in the bedside tables. Live out of the suitcase or use non-removable hangers! Internet was practically not available. Even checking the email was impossible most of the time. One of us is an IT professional, so can't blame it on low skills. There was a musty odor in the room, which was not too strong most of the time, but persistent. All of our clothes absorbed the odor; we had to air them out and wash upon returning home. Some of the clothes felt damp during our stay, we couldn't wear them. And due to rain, we couldn't dry anything outside. Out of 2 dryers in the laundry only one worked. And they only take quarters! for every 6 minutes! Why not pay with the card? We only had 1 quarter, 6 minutes was not enough. The front desk was closed after 9 pm, nobody to help with it. A drying rack in the room may be good. Bed could be firmer.
