Amazing Experience

The staff was amazing and went out of their way to treat us like royalty each day. They cooked us amazing food for the included breakfast and for lunch and dinner. The location is right on a quite beach with beautiful sunsets and the hotel has beach chairs, beach towels, and cabanas all included in your room rate. The rooms were beautiful with everything we could have wanted.

Wonderful little hotel with very attentive staff. More or less a private beach during the week with very few people. This is a no-frills little town with limited food options in the evening, but the hotel will prepare lunch and dinner for you if you ask in advance. Very close to Cartagena, yet felt secluded and cheaper/quieter than Playa Blanca on the other side of town. Highly recommended, if you enjoy some quiet time away from it all, with good company, sun, sea and friendly staff.

Great relaxing get away

This is a great place if you really want to get away and relax. A basic four room palapa/bungalow right on the beach. Not luxe, but very comfortable and the staff super friendly. Annie is a great cook and they'll all take care of you. Beach is much quieter than ones closer the city.

Un lugar distinto en Cartagena De India

Nosotras buscamos un lugar rústico con la playa a los pies del hotel,una atención familiar,la dueña encantadora y muy preocupada de todos los servicios y detalles que requerimos. El lugar adecuado para descansar. La gastronomía muy buena ,en general todo muy a agradables. Hay que destacar que la atención personalizada es lo fundamental en ese lugar .

Great Hotel

The Staff will go out off their way to satisfy the customer. The rooms are clean and the sound of the waves are incredible. This is not an ECO hotel, but ECO friendly. I would definitely return!! Thanks to Sandra for her service Jess n Maya

Great getaway

Great hotel, great decor and set up fair relaxation. When we arrived, the owner wasn't there. It is more of a bed and breakfast than hotel. Only 5 rooms and skeleton staff. It's in a rough part of town but rights on the beach and beautifully secluded. My only concern is there is no gate/door or security at night.

worst hotel I ever stayed

Hotel has only 4 rooms no reception person at all, no taxi available to go to downtown need to take public bus when you come back taxi charges USD25/30, friday and saturday night small bar 6 to 7 people sits and drink with LOUD music on till 3AM hard to sleep only, I will never stay at this hotel even for free, I want recommeded anyone to stay at this hotel No Hot water plus water was cut off for some reason owner gave us a bucket of water to get fresh up

Hotel sencillo pero bonito.

Hotel bien ubicado, alejado de todo los turistas de Cartagena, es un hotel muy pequeño de 4 habitaciones, ideal para estar alejado de todo en pareja, nada de lujos algo sencillo pero bonito. Un aspecto por mejorar son los desayunos que siempre es lo mismo, no hay opciones (huevos, arepa o pan y jugo). Mi visita a este hotel fue para ir al Summerland ya que se encuentra muy cerca, así que no disfruté de su playa.

Cálido

La atención es muy buena y cálida, es un lugar destinado para descansar, se va la luz con frecuencia, no hay piscina y hay algunas fotos publicadas que no corresponden con la realidad del sitio. El transporte es costoso, un taxi cobra a la ciudad amurallada aproximadamente $40.000, pero la administradora conoce conductores que cobran un poco menos. La playa es muy tranquila y no hay vendedores ambulantes. El chef del hotel es muy amable y la comida es agradable. La sensación es de una casa familiar y no de un hotel.

Mayor valor cobrado

No llenó mis expectativas, se encuentra demasiado retirado de la ciudad lo que dificulta disfrutar de ella y su vida nocturna, el transporte es demasiado costoso, en la página del hotel ofrecen salidas nocturnas, que nos llevan y nos traen y al preguntar por este servicio en el hotel solo nos ofrecieron llamarnos un taxi, las habitaciones no son lo que se ve en las fotos, el menú es limitado y el desayuno fue exactamente el mismo durante los 3 días de estadía y ahora para mi sorpresa al revisar mis cuentas veo que me cargaron a la tarjeta de crédito la tarifa plena del hotel y no la promoción que aplicaba por comprar a través de hoteles.com. y lo que me cobraron no es un precio que merece la pena pagar por esa cabaña.

Waste of Money

Will never stay in this place again. Hotel management charged for everything. Out of the way from everything with nothing nearby. Cartagena was great & definitely return, but never to this hotel.

Un lugar especial en Cartagena...

Tal como lo anticiparon muchos viajeros este es el lugar ideal en CArtagena para poder disfrutar de unos días de verdadera tranquilidad a orillas del mar. Su atención es excelente y muy destacada la cordialidad de su dueña, nosotros quedamos encantado somos. Súper recomendable!

Did not meet expectations

Nice place and mostly friendly staff, but rather a guest house than a hotel. Limted variety in breakfast and too expensive overall for columbian measures. Sometimes no running water and next big supermarket takes about 4 km to go.

Highly recommended.

The staff were wonderful even helping us with an early (4am) departure. Food not bad either altho some items on the menu were not available.

Kohsamui, we'll be back.

What an incredible staff. Everyone, including the owner, was extremely friendly, helpful and a pleasure to talk to, even in my very limited Spanish. The hotel is perfect for an escape from the city, relaxation on the beach and a truly genuine experience.

Disappointing

Based on various online reviews, I booked this hotel for 2 nights on a recent trip to Cartagena, wanting to add the beach experience to our trip. After a 20+ minute drive from town, we arrived at a desolate little village on the beach, with the hotel sitting in the middle of it. The wind was blowing so hard (a regular occurrence from what we were told), you felt like you were being sandblasted. The hotel itself is very rustic, consisting only of 4 or 5 rooms, which have to be accessed through a very steep staircase. The rooms are very simple and basic, but clean (not a small feat considering the sand blowing everywhere). The restaurant offers simple options but is rather pricy - however, it is the only option...! By the way, don't expect coffee before 8:00AM... The beach (there is no pool) consists of a small strip with very loud music played by the locals who park their cars on the beach, within feet of where you're sitting. The only activities available are the beach and sitting on the veranda, watching the sand blow. We left after one night.

Lovely beachfront with lots of charm!

The perfect antidote to a busy stressful life. The terrace was really wonderful to lay on hammocks, couches and watch the ocean. The food from the kitchen was made from scratch and completely delicious. A secluded, affordable option if all you want to do is snooze, take a dip, etc. and get away from busy city life.

El lugar es lindo, pequeño, cuidado pero lejos de todo y en medio de la nada... Llegar fue una odisea y muy "costoso".
