We had a great stay here and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful intimate setting.The garden is stunning with views of the mountain, lake and vineyard. Breakfast is delicious and their Malbec was delicious too. Thank you Allan and Yvonne for being wonderful hosts. We hope to visit again!

First class stay - what a truly magical place, stunning views, beautiful well kept gardens and pool area, tastefully decorated and immaculate rooms, simply a stunning place to stay and enjoy Franschhoek, only a short walk away. The breakfast each morning was beautifully presented hot meals were freshly made and there was a huge selection of fresh fruits, meats and cheeses too. The staff were all incredible, and their main aim was to ensure our stay was perfect, which is was, so thank you to everyone at L’Auberge Chanteclair, for making our stay so wonderful in every way, we are already looking forward to a return trip very soon.

Pampering in Wine Country

This was our second stay at L’Auberge Chanteclair and just as lovely our first visit. The grounds are like a fairy tale with amazing views wherever you look. The rooms are large, have a luxurious feel with sitting area, fireplace and beds with pretty bedding and very comfortable mattresses. The hosts are so welcoming and generous with their time. They gave us advise about wineries, restaurants, places to discover in the area and were 5*hosts. After a welcoming glass of wine, just take a stroll through their vineyard, walk along the pond, relax near their pool or watch the sun go down from their beautiful porch. This will be our place whenever we visit Franschhoek!

Exceptional place and service from owners and staff. We are planning to stay here in one of their cottages next time for an extended stay. Decor, gardens and food was 5 stars too. Taft have been there for 15 years…. It says something. The night watchman, Bobolani, was so kind to my mom, helped her to her room, to her car. Lovely. I highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived and were welcomed by Allan we felt at home. Our room was beautiful and our breakfast was delicious in the most wonderful setting outside on the terrace overlooking the vineyards and mountains. The gardens are gorgeous and the pool was perfect. Being offered a complimentary drink on the back terrace watching the sun go down was a really lovely touch. We walked easily into the town to eat in the evenings and Allan’s excellent driver Daniel collected us to drive us back. We cannot recommend Auberge Chanteclair any more strongly - it was a highlight of our time in South Africa.

Such an amazing place

Such an amazing place to stay, with the most amazing, warm, friendly staff. A beautiful guesthouse in a wonderful location. The breakfast is delicious, with much of the fruit coming from the orchard. A glass of wine from their vineyard on the stoop for sunset is divine. I can't recommend Chanteclair enough, I will be coming back every time I'm in South Africa.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely place to stay for a few days in Franshoek. The studio is well equipped. Breakfast is fantastic. The pool area is lovely. It's a small place with only a few rooms, so very quiet. Close to town. Would definitely recommend!

Charming Vineyard stay at Chanteclair.
