Pure bliss!
Overlooking Gordon's Bay, the Chocolate Box is a paradise in which to relax and unwind. The room was fantastic with all the mod cons you could need. They even have cooking facilities and a DVD library should you want a night in. We just loved it here, the hospitality is incredible and breakfast out of this world! Thank you so much for a perfect stay.

Accueil impeccable, recommandations pour la soirée top. Chambre absolument magnifique, terrasse individuelle avec vue incroyable. Petit déjeuner divin !! Nous aurions aimé avoir le temps de rester davantage de temps à Chocolate Box.

CHOCLATE BOX DECADENCE!
EXCELLENT Atay. My 2nd trip to Chocolate Box- Felt like going home. Absolutely loved the sublime decadence of the place. Will definitely go back. This is one experience I would recommend. LOVE personified!

Great location, great hotel, great staff
We spent four nights at the Chocolate Box after Two Oceans and was pleasantly surprised at the proximity to the Helderberg and its wine farms and restaurants. The staff were super friendly and treated us like family. The views and sunsets were to die for and the rooms large, well maintained and very comfortable.

Chocolate delight
Olaf and his team are fantastic, so welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast offers juices, coffees and teas, cheese and bread selection, cereal, and a menu for eggs and other hot items. The location is great, with an amazing view of the bay, and fantastic as a base for exploring along the coast road in either direction. Olaf suggested some amazing restaurants and vineyards to visit. I'll definitely be staying there next time I visit South Africa! Much more welcoming than a hotel but with all the same facilities.

What a gem!
What a fantastic experience. Olaf and Bernadette were fascinatingly helpful. The room opens into the the gardens and the view of the mountains and the bay. The custom breakfast was spectacular and sumptuous, with a side of fresh local fruits. Olaf got us a fabulous degustation reservation at Waterkloolf. In short, the area, the cuisine, the hospitality were all top-notch.

Ideally placed to explore the surrounding area. The owners were very welcoming and attentive to guests needs. Accommodation was elegantly contemporary yet calm and comfortable. Breakfast particularly good. Bernadette , Brad and Olaf work hard to ensure you have the best possible experience as their guests. No hesitation in recommending.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely views over Gordon's Bay with a well laid out deck. Super breakfast with good variety including homemade muesli and Brad's award winning muffins. Will be back

Wahnsinns Ausblick!
Tolle Gastgeber! Man fühlt sich wie in seinem eigenen Strandhaus mit fantastischem Ausblick. Es ist sehr ruhig, das Frühstück war exzellent und liebevoll angerichtet. Ein Haus mit Liebe zum Detail, sehr modern eingerichtet und trotzdem sehr gemütlich- wir werden wiederkommen!

Family-like modern warmhearted Hotel

Fabulous place to stay
Fantastic guesthouse with a very warm welcome from our hosts and amazing breakfast Lots of useful information about the local area This hotel is a great base to explore Stellenbosch and the wine region Many thoughtful touches in the rooms Artistic decor Locally sourced products/toiletries etc Well stocked honesty bar Our only regret? We were only able to stay 1 night

Beautiful views
Stayed our last night in Cape Town. This place is beautiful, clean and updated with a cute modern feel. The owners were beyond welcoming, perfect.. close to many places to eat and watch sunset. It was to windy to enjoy the pool and the balcony.. we left early to catch our flight home, so we missed out on breakfast, but we were left some yummy fresh fruit and yougart..a real nice surprise. The homemade truffles were delicious, as well as the candy bowls.. Super happy with stay, thanks guys.. highly recommended..

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt - eine Oase
Ohne uns gross Gedanken zu machen haben wir in der Choclate Box ein Zimmer für Zwei reserviert. Ein klarer Fehler, denn umso mehr waren wir erstaunt, als wir eincheckten und merkten, dass Bradley und Olaf ihr ganzes Herzblut in das Projekt stecken. So ist nicht nur die Lage zu Kapstadt top, sondern kennt ihre Gastfreundlichkeit keine Grenzen. Sie scheuen keine Mühe und tuen alles damit man sich grenzenlos wohl fühlt - bis in kleinste Detail. Aus diesem Grund mussten wir am Schluss unserer Reise (ausserplanmässig) nochmals bei diesen zwei guten Menschen vorbei schauen und in der Chocolate Box übernachten. Tipp: Auf der Terrasse der Chocolate Box kann man, mit Sicht auf den Tafelberg, total entspannt den schönsten Sonnenuntergang Kapstadts erleben.

Girls night out.
We loved our stay. Brad and Oloff were lovely hosts and saw to our every need. I've already raved about it to friends and family. My friends indicated that she considered it a great hen party location :-)

You will not be disappointed with any element of your stay here! Gorgeous decor throughout the property, extremely comfortable and stylish rooms, superb hosts, amazing views and generally a product you would expect from a high end boutique hotel! You won't need lunch after their breakfast either!

Gorgeous Guest House
Beautiful guest house with lots of nice little extras. The hosts were friendly and helpful and served a delicious freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of choice.

Gorgeous interior decorators dream B & B
You feel like you have just stepped into a home designer show place when you enter this lovely hotel. It is brand new and in a Safe neighborhood. Easy access to everything. Excellent service from our wonderful hosts Brad and Olaf. Unexpected treasure that is close to airport, hermanus, wine country - you do need a car. Spectacular views! We loved the sunsets! The breakfast was to die for!! You have to have one of Olaf's omlettes - best ever! Our hosts gave us the best suggestions of where to go - wineries, restaurants, site seeing. You must stay here if you are in S Africa! Brad and Olaf are so warm and hospitable - they made our trip!!

Very nice guesthouse!
We had a very nice experience with the chocolate box. Very nice room with out of view but thus was told beforehand. The swimming pool is not big but good enough for a dip on hot days, also the view ftom the pool is outstanding. Very nice staff working. All with all we had a very relaxing and amazing holiday thanks too the staff!

Ein Schoko-Muss!
Nach Durchforsten von unzähligen B&B Angeboten in der Kapregion bin ich auf die Homepage der Chocolate Box aufmerksam geworden. Ich bin immer etwas skeptisch, wenn nur wunderbare Bilder präsentiert werden und daher habe ich auf zahlreichen Plattformen nach Bewertungen gesucht. Übereinstimmend waren die Kommentare positiv, daher haben wir gebucht. Alle Erwartungen wurden übertroffen!!! Vom herzlichen Empfang der Hausdame, den liebevollst eingerichteten Zimmern, dem sagenhaften Blick über False Bay bis zum Tafelberg nach Kapstadt, alles war wie wie versprochen. Wir haben die 5 Tage in Gordon's Bay absolut genossen. Und ja, WLAN im ganzen Haus - kostenlos. Bedingt durch die Lage am Hang zum St. Lowrys Pass (und der damit verbundenen grandiosen Sicht) ist allerdings ein (Miet)wagen mehr als empfehlenswert. Aber wer will denn schon ohne Fahrzeug seinen Urlaub in der Kapregion verbringen? PS: Auch wenn ich nicht so gerne echte Geheimtipps weitergebe: Die Neptune Suite war das Sahnehäubchen auf der Schokoladenbox!
