Budget travelers secret stay. Basics all there: strong water 🚿 pressure, air con and a solid two coffee cup breakie. Great service and right on the beach. 🏝️ love it. Sd
Very friendly staff. Good atmosphere. A bit primitive, but it certainly has its charm and great location on the beach next to the castle. Very good for the price.
Orange beach resort is not a "resort" more a very basic hotel with AC. The rooms are ok, shower and AC are working but you don't want to spend more time in it than necessary. No soap but you get toilet paper.
The stuff is helpful but stoned all the time so breakfast takes 1h to prepare (if someone is there) for a simple but good breakfast (egg, toast, fruit, coffee).
Behind the hotel on the beach side is kind of public toilet and garbage.
Pro: location, breakfast, breakfast, price
The location of the place is beautiful, right on the beach.
However it didn’t meet the descriptions online.
We had to work online during our stay and there was no wifi in the rooms.
To have running water in the rooms the team had to manually turn on and off the water tank, which was a bit impractical.
There was loud music and people talking until late into the night and also early in the morning.
There was no bonfire at night, the sun beds are no longer there. There are a lot of people hanging around the place near the entrance and right in the beach side, so it honestly doesn’t feel very safe.
The people who run the place are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it doesn’t make up for the overall feeling that the place is run down and not very well kept.
Basic, budget option by the beach
Three nights £78 (paid in advance via Expedia)
Fairly small room with air con (no temperature control - you can have it on or off).
Very comfy bed.
Plugs one side of the bed, and on the other side of the room.
Small en suite, no toiletries.
Cold water shower
Friendly, helpful staff.
No housekeeping during our stay.
No WiFi.
Breakfast included: eggs cooked to order with toast and a hot drink
The property was in a good location for tourists and was right on the water so the atmosphere was really beautiful. We booked 3 rooms and aside from toilet paper not being in any of them the amenities were good. Two rooms were on upper levels and were comfortable. The bathrooms were very sizeable and the water pressure was great. The person who stayed in the room on the ground level really struggled to sleep with all the noise from around the hotel and bar.
Dining was ok. As in most parts of Ghana the entire menu is not always available so just be prepared for that.
no hot water, but at the price, on the beach, good value and good experience. BE SURE TO LET THE CHEF COOK FOR YOU, and get beyond the Ghanaian obvious. The chicken in cream sauce and grilled fish in garlic cream sauce were both incredibly good. Well done.
