"A charming, cosy stay just outside Canterbury’s West Gate, with a great view of the historic entrance itself. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of everything while still feeling slightly tucked away. The room was on the smaller side, but warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, which made the stay feel personal rather than transactional. The standout touch was the happy hour from 6–7pm, with a 2-for-1 cocktail offer paired with a complimentary cheese platter. That alone felt like exceptional value and added a lot to the overall experience. For the price, this hotel offers excellent value. Would happily stay again and recommend to others."

"Toilet situation misleading - I thought I booked an en-suite with shower i.e. rather than a bath. It was a shower in the corner of the room. Shared toilet down the landing!! - glad my wife wasn’t with me on this trip!!! This wouldn’t have been so bad had there been more toilet paper. Zero information in room e.g. wi-fi code. Nobody to speak with at the property - there was an emergency number - fortunately there was a Tesco express close-by. "

"A comfortable room with an excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Great to have easy parking and only a short bus ride to the beautiful historic city of Canterbury. The cathedral is unbelievable!!"

"Hotel was very quiet as it was a Sunday - it is also currently being renovated - I wasn’t offered a refurbished room until I asked specifically if any were available after I had already checked in. Old room was very dated, had a creaky floor, tap dripping and whistling extractor fan in bathroom. I’m not sure if the newer room we had was same grade as much smaller room size and double rather than king size bed. Decor much better and bathroom nice. Breakfast buffet was poor, my partner gave the full English 3/10 - quite a small portion served. machine coffee like dishwater - not proper filter coffee. Service was good but there were less than 10 people dining so not sure how it would be on a busy day with one staff member. Plus point was free parking and only 10 minute walk into town. Would maybe go back when renovations completed. "
