"Perfect for travelers and pilgrims to Canterbury Cathedral since right next to Cathedral Gate. Perfectly located. Nice, helpful people especially Rob. Good breakfast. Would happily stay again."
"Great position for visiting Canterbury and car park opposite the pub/ hotel .Food was great ,we had an evening meal and breakfast was cooked to order .The staff was knowledgeable and friendly ,a special mention to Paul.We will probably stay here again in the future when we visit friends and family ."
"Nice room but bit noisy looking on high street with vehicles and drunks playing music opposite for a while - as no double glazing / sound proofing. Air conditioning unit leaked water onto table and wet belongings but managed to dry out overnight. Breakfast was okay but continental and not much choice and no ham / cheese / pastries as would be expected. Extra charge for cooked English breakfast / Eggs Royale etc at £10 was too much - we were only charged extra £3 for this at a 5 star hotel we stayed at after this…. Parking at £25 per night is way too expensive and used castle street parking for only £29 fo 2 days there."
"A very comfortable road side hotel to stay for a night.
Would recommend it to anyone travelling onwards to Europe, or using it for a convenient place to stay if wishing to visit Canterbury, whilst on route to elsewhere."
"The Lodge was so surprising. Being on the Cathedral grounds, it evokes a sense of tranquility and calm. That feeling does not extend past the walls of the ground. The breakfasts were amazing. The staff was most accommodating. Everything was within the radius of the Lodge and walking to places was easy. The only thing that disappointed was that the standard double room has a tiny bed which was caused a snug bed-share challenge. It worked out. We're glad we chose that accommodation."
