"The building is slowing being renovated. Beautiful view of a large garden and doorstep parking. Our room had not been completely refitted with both bedside tables and the new desk, but we are looking forward to seeing how the room appears next stay. Note to self, get to breakfast a little earlier as the scrambled eggs had been devoured by the healthy Sunday night crowd, before I got to the breakfast room."
"We stayed in an accessible room and that was great with regard to bars and accessibility to the toilet, etc. The bathroom was a bit rough around the edges as the carpentry did not look quite finished. The staff was very friendly. We only have one complaint. They have a rule that you cannot leave your dog in the room when you leave the hotel. Not even if they are in a crate or carrier. This is the first time that we have run across this. This was unfortunate because we had some shopping to do and did not want our dog in the hot car. Just an fyi to be aware of this rule if you are traveling with pets."
"We were so welcomed by the owners; they were waiting at the front door to help us to our room. Our room was very cozy and comfortable. They provided us with drink and snacks in our room. They had snacks and coffee downstairs to eat & drink anytime. Breakfast was so delicious both mornings, you did not go hungry. Jill even sent us home with a goodie bag, with bread from a local bakery & other goodies. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Excelsior Springs."
"Great budget hotel option. Not right on the exit ramp but 2 minutes down the road and so much quieter. Check-in staff person was helpful and friendly. Mexican restaurant nearby for a quick dinner. On-site breakfast was one step above basic (hot biscuits and gravy - because, it’s Missouri. 😊) Perfect option for an overnight stay while on the road."
