Hotel David

Oltrarno

10/10 Excellent

We stayed at the Hotel David for four nights. The staff are welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The cleaning staff did an invisible but excellent job, leaving our room immaculate every day. Our twin room was spacious, with ample storage space, and a large shower room off a small hallway. The bed was very comfortable. There a wide variety of food for breakfast, including fresh fruit and freshly made pastries and cakes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind the 15-20-minute walk...

One of the best hotels I have stayed - small, 'boutique' feel. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff - they seemed to want us to enjoy our stay ! Stayed 2 x one night, so had 2 different rooms - both quite different, but both excellent quality & space. Dinner in restaurant was superb; breakfast buffet excellent. c. 20 minute walk into the centre of Florence, maybe 30 mins to Ponte Vecchio, or use the shuttle bus or taxis. Highly recommended - can't wait to go back !

Radisson Blu Hotel, Florence

Florence

10/10 Excellent

An excellent and well run home. Spacious, comfortable and with everything you could wish for. The hotel was handy for getting into Florence, the shuttle bus is particularly good value and also for relaxing once you get back. The staff are all lovely and did everything to make it a great experience. Will be our go to place for future stays in Florence. One minor issue was the combined bath/shower which was a bit tricky to get in and out of to use the shower. The bath also had no plug when we...

Plaza Hotel Lucchesi

Historic Centre of Florence

10/10 Excellent

From the moment of arrival to a sad departure we were looked after by the excellent staff at this hotel. The bedroom was clean with excellent room servicing every day. Breakfast was full of marvelous choice from cold cuts to fruit to breads to cooked food-bacon eggs sausage etc. with the staff discretely looking after the removal of finished dishes and glasses etc. Unfortunately the rooftop area was not in use as it was the last week in December but the views were excellent from there over the...

FH55 Grand Hotel Mediterraneo

10/10 Excellent

We went to Florence to run the Florence Marathon and the race started only 200 yards from the hotel door, so that was excellent. The race organisers used the hotel for the elite athletes so that was a good sign. Early breakfast on race day was real bonus and was of excellent standard. Staff were also excellent, kind and helpful when I needed help with printing boarding passes. However, the staff on the front desk didn't always make eye contact. The rooms are a little small. We had problems with...
