"The hotel is lovely but some updating on guest service access and information is needed. QR code not working to look up amenities/services and some information is inaccurate, i.e. the location of laundry services. But location is awesome and the room was spacious. Loved having bath robes :)"

"Well situated and appointed family resort, set in lush gardens with restaurants within the complex. As an older couple travelling without a car we left the pools to the very happy families using them. However we could walk to the stunning Botanic Gardens and use the bus to travel into the city for the wonderful Kuranda Rail trip and walks along the Esplanade. The resort makes a good base, the staff are all lovely and rooms are serviced daily."

"Nice hotel, not the best location, especially having to walk past the hospital at night. Would have been nice to have the bar open after 10pm in the evening. Staff were attentive to maintenance issues raised and were keen to offer compensation in the form of free services."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Hilton Cairns. Perfect location. We stayed on the 8th floor we water views, which gave us access to a seperate room offering a small Buffet breakfast every morning and canapés, beer and wine in the evening. Absolutely loved this option as the dinning room downstairs is full and the food, drinks and a Harpist on the Saturday was a lovely touch. Comfy bed was a big bonus too."

"The bathrooms could be modernised however in saying that the rooms were wonderful and clean, well equipped. The staff were always friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a clean and refresh of towels and cleaning products like laundry powder and dishwashing liquid midway through our stay (despite only staying 6 days) which was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel itself is situated in a great location; walking distance to the pier, night markets, lagoon, casino, countless restaurants and shops."

"We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Cairns, and while the hotel itself is in an excellent location and is both beautiful and comfortable, what truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service from the staff. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Every interaction was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, and it was clear that nothing was too much trouble. The staff’s friendliness and care consistently elevated our stay and made everything feel effortless and well looked after. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the 5pm canapés, which were a lovely touch to start and end each day. Our room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing, but it was the exceptional service that truly defined our experience. Overall, it was a genuinely memorable stay, made special by the incredible staff, and we would happily return."
