This was a fabulous spot to stay during our time in Byron Bay. It was within close easy walking distance to so many places to eat, grab a drink or coffee. The loft apartment was perfect for our needs with multiple bedrooms and living spaces to relax in. Two lounge rooms and a deck allowed us to enjoy the balmy weather in the day outside, then chill out inside at later hours. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Great location and easy enough to walk to the town centre and beach. The loft was spacious, light and quiet enough with the doors and windows closed considering the busy roundabout on the corner. Close to grocery store. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and late check out was accommodated. Would definitely recommend!

The property is beautifully decorated and in a great area close to the beach and shops.
Lots of space for our family of 5 and liked that the main bedroom had the whole top floor.
Main bedroom bed was not very comfortable, and outdoor bbq must have been getting an upgrade as was not available but other than that could not fault anything.
The apartment has everything you would need including toiletries, pantry staples, coffee pod machine, all utensils and crockery, even inflatables for the pool and a bike in the garage .
We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

A very nice place in a convenient location. We walked to most places. Spacious apartment with everything you need. We had a great stay!!
Accommodation was great. Stayed with two toddlers so the stairs were a hazard but not too much of an issue. Weather was horrible, so was a great place to stay indoors. Great position. Would reccomend for sure.

Great value. Loved the curated art pieces and reading materials. Clean, well presented, lots of space, everything just worked and the staff were v helpful and accessible/contactable despite covid19 restraints. Highly recommended!
We loved our stay. I organised a big ladies trip for my birthday. The 3 bedroom apartments were just so lovely. Very stylish and unique in design. The accommodation was a very close walk into town and I will definitely be staying here again.
It was just such a dream house! All the art work and little decorative features made it lovely. It was so handy having garage access and straight to the pool. Was easy access to Byron.
With the second and third bedrooms it can be a little bit noisy if other people are in the pool area in the morning.
An awesome townhouse/apartment just out of the noisy part of town, still walking distance to the shops/beach.
Check in was easy, it took all of 2mins. The reception even called ahead of time so they would know when to be ready to expect us.
We loved the style of the converted butter factory, seeing how it retained many original features and character of the original building.
The layout of our 3 bed poolside apartment was almost perfect.
Highly recommended.
PS. Only difficulty was the stairs for our 2 kids (18m & 3) mainly because we don't have any stairs at home.
We stayed in apartment 6, with another couple and we have 2 kids so it was the perfect apartment for us.
The space is amazing and is like a featured home in a magazine. Very well set out open plan in the main floor with full equipped kitchen / laundry and well furnished living space.
The master upstairs has an ensuite and with 2 bedrooms downstairs and a separate bathroom and living space so there was plenty of space for everyone.
It is a short walk to the supermarket, cafes and Byron shops which was perfect for us.
Would stay again for sure.
Very noisy, too bright couldn't sleep and shower b
Great location but it is very noisy and very bright so hard to sleep. couldn't use the shower in ensuite as it sprays everywhere. The place is a good size. Very easy to walk to town.
We enjoyed our week in warehouse 8. The views were out to bush and the only noise calm from the birds as unit 8 is in the back corner of the complex. Well appointed and spacious. Some aspects needed a little attention, like peeling paint above the shower. Never met the staff. Pool was nice but not heated so the children’s lips turned blue and really only bearable on the hotter days. Close to town and able to go the back way to the beach (traffic on Jonson street is hideous at the weekends)
Really enjoyed our stay here.
Good location but air con didn't work, toaster didn't work, kettle continued boiling and didn't switch off, upstairs window wouldn't lock so some concern about security, and light swich in bathroom broken. Fully self contained unit but no baking tray, and no egg flip. Just a lot of little things that made the stay disappointing consdiering the money we paid. Outside the unit the seating near the BBQ was also broken and unable to be used.
I recently stayed at Butter factory with some friends for a quiet girls getaway. There was an incident and we were well compensated for the inconvenience by the staff (which involved other guests and was nothing to do with the room). Would definitely stay here again as well as recommend to family and friends. Good value and good location!
The Butter Factory was the perfect place to spend a long weekend relaxing in Byron Bay with everything in walking distance, easy parking and a beautiful apartment to come back to. The open planned living and outdoor balconies made the apartment feel very spacious and could easily accomodate 6 people! Very clean and fresh with modern finishes- honestly couldn't recommend enough if your looking for a relaxing weekend away!!
The Butter Factory was a wonderful accommodation complex with well furnished apartments. Pool was great because it was never busy, so almost felt like a private pool. Only minor issue would be that it was not entirely spotless when we first arrived, but cannot complain overall

Kitchen needs more cooking equipment . One medium size pan not enough for two families. Large crack in baking dish unsafe to use.
Stairs inside are beautiful - but not very safe - needs light at the bottom - I did fall down the last 2 stairs at night.
Lots of living room lounge suit very comfortable
It was a spacious apartment with a nice set up but it lacked all the small details you expect for the price point. There were no little toiletry items - just a cake a soap - not even a box of tissues in the bathroom. The cleanliness of the bathrooms left something to desire and the outside balcony floor was really dirty.
Apartment was well appointed to comfortably accommodate a family catch up between parents and their uni kids. Kitchen was so well appointed that quality meals were a breeze- everything worked and was really clean! Location was within an easy stroll to everything (beach and vital morning coffee), without being troubled by the bustle of "backpacker Byron". Lighthouse walk, surf closeby. Thoroughly recommend The Butter Factory as a place to unwind and experience the absolute joy of being in Byron Bay.
