Accommodation is within an old chapel. It has been tastefully converted to a very comfortable guest house. Room and breakfast excellent and owners very friendly. Will definitely use again.
Highly recommend this guesthouse the owner could not be more helpful and friendly, it’s spotless and ideally situated for both burnt island and Kirkaldy.
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very cute and comfortable and location was great. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts, Steve and Yvonne could not have been friendlier or more helpful!
Our stay at Cardinals Folly has been outstanding in many aspects: The guest rooms are absolutely tidy and so very comfortable. We were offered a large choice of Scottish breakfast, which was better and more than we could wish for. Yvonne and Steven are wonderful hosts. They gave us great tips for sightseeing, hiking and dining and even booked us a table at the nearby restaurant (which ist a must-go). Next time we visit Scotland, we will consider no other place but Cardinals Folly!
This is the place I wouldn’t tellanybody about because the next time I will go to Scotland this will be my first choice. When I say that it will probably be fully booked.
Wonderful and caring host.
It’s a lovely well kept property, the hosts (sorry I’ve forgotten their names) couldn’t do enough for us. We felt very welcome.
Breakfast was lovely with more than enough selection to suit any tastes.
The room with its extra touches like a magnified mirror and ear plugs incase you want to sleep with the windows open (seagulls are loud). Was a lovely touch. We’ve never really stayed at a guest house before, but after this experience we will definitely be looking at them more instead of the chain hotels where we usually stay.
