"Overall a great stay! The surroundings are beautiful, we had a gorgeous lake view from our standard room, which really made the stay. Very comfy bed, slept well. Great breakfast! Although the room itself was very clean we had dirty linen (pillow case and towel). When we tried to ring reception nobody answered our calls. Bedroom was modern and spacious and was generally well kept and maintained but bathroom was aged."
"Off to a sterling start with quick and easy check-in, room was really nice, big, spotless and very comfortable bed. Considering the size of the room, the shower could have been a bit bigger! Otherwise everything was perfect. Good night's sleep.
Up until Breakfast that is which was an absolute shambles! We wandered down just before 9 am considering breakfast went on till 10.30 am to find that they had ran out of such things as baked beans, pastries, muffins and the like. Waited absolutely ages for a re-stock on hot food. So long that someone cleared away our drinks that were still on our table so that when we went back to it it had been re-set!! Not so good. Need more staff on at breakfast time and certainly the kitchen need to be more aware of a full hotel when serving breakfast till 10.30 am not to run out of stuff at 9 am!!
Other than breakfast the stay was great."
"Queens is a lovely hotel, we used to stay at 131 but got fed up with the noise from below. Old school traditional hotel ideal location for town. As far as we are concerned it ticks all the boxes. We didn’t get the opportunity to eat there but I’m sure we will on our next visit. Joe on reception was very informative and friendly."
"We arrived to check in and we were greeted by Georgi who was lovely, very helpful and even upgraded our room. All staff were exceptional and will definitely be staying here again when coming to visit Oxford!"
"The room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely big shower. The hotel was very nice and again very clean. Great bar. As you walk in to the reception it is very grand like walking into a beautiful Manor House.
Breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. The problem I had was it said in the booking email they check in was 2pm. It isn’t it’s 3pm . So be careful."
"Very clean, tidy and well presented hotel. On site parking was good value and they let me leave my car there ahead of check in too.
Comfortable room and the breakfast was decent quality and good value.
Would consider staying here again."
"The gentleman on reception who checked us in was really lovely and very welcoming. The room was nice and spacious. Pillows were a bit too soft for our personal tastes and rooms could do with a kettle but otherwise very happy with our stay.
Breakfast was nice also.
Staff definitely stood out for us as being the best feature of this hotel!"
