"We only stayed for one night and came by train and on foot. Efficient check in. Great ambiance, room was very good, clean and well designed. Comfortable bed. Went to Canary Wharf for food - lovely walk in (20 minutes)."

"The room at sky level was ok. Had an issue with the toilet running that took a few hrs to get sorted. Only one working elevator so you know it can get impossible to use at certain hrs of the day. No landlines in the room, at reception to use when I had an issue with my credit card (and needed to call my card company - had to go to another hotel to do this). However, the cafe staff is super friendly and the location is excellent - you’re literally steps from the Aldgate East subway station. Overall a decent place but def need to train some staff members, particularly the overnight crew - they’re largely clueless."
