"It started well with a very warm welcome on arrival and a hostess who had a good sense of humour which is always a bonus for me with my humour. She was friendly and showed where the room was rather than just giving directions... "The staff was very friendly but I have to admit the internet even at times when I could connect was so weak, I couldn’t even access my emails. The shower has a power saver machine on it but the problem is the hot water cycles from cold to warm to scalding and around and around so you constantly have to dip under and out. I can’t say the stay was worth the price."

"The room was fine, old fashioned but comfortable. inconvenient that there were painters painting the stairs I had to climb. I was told (as an elderly person alone) that if I needed to know anything I could ring 0 for the night porter, but when I rang at 6.30am to see what time breakfast was, it didn't ring out and nobody answered."
