Quirky little place.
A quirky little hotel located a bit away from downtown. This is a converted house which provides a small number of older style rooms. There are some odd bits such as the lack of space for a door to the ensuite in my room. Beds could be more comfy. Reasonable price.

Slighly sketchy area but ok if you dont look too tourista like. lots of good restaurants nearby and also shopping. very compfortable room and good wifi. staff very accomodating. Overall I would stay there again and reccomend it to the ' off the beaten path tourist'. Good safe in the room.
Bed and Breakfast boutique, basic stuff, but cool rooms. Its exactly what you'd imagine nothing more nothing less. For the price its great. Family owned type joint in the best neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Super friendly and nice people.
The big problem with this hotel is that it is too far from the center of town and the tourist sites. It's at the far end of Palermo in a neighborhood with smaller buildings. You can get into town with a bus but it's about 1/2 hour. The hotel itself is mixed - the bathroom is huge, the shower big enough for 2 which is rare in Buenos Aires. It was clean, had lots of fresh towels and smelled great - a combo of lemons and flowers. The bedroom however was small and #8 where I stayed didn't have a window to the outside but opened to the hall which was a wall of windows. It was very noisy because anytime anyone walked by it was like they were in the room. #8 must be near the heating system because something kept cycling on and off all night. The bed was nice and firm with fresh sheets daily. The staff was fantastic - gave directions, helped me with my suitcase down the stairs (no elevator) and were just helpful and cheerful. A minor glitch - something happened with the electricity (a rumor that perhaps the owner hadn't paid the bill) but we had a blackout one morning so I had to take a shower semi in the dark. For the price it's probably about right but the distance to anything I wanted is too far. I'd never stay there again but instead stay at the Dazzler Laprida. That's a great hotel in the same price range.
I knew this was a boutique-Bed 'N Breakfast type hotel. With that mindset, I had a very good experience. The staff (from the owners to the maids) were helpful and guided me around the city. The location is very good. It's a nice, quiet neighborhood, with many, many, many, real nice cafes. My room was very large. You're in a good part of the city and it's fun to walk around in. The city buses go right by the hotel and taxis are every where. You do have to walk about 6-8 blocks to the subway. Again, it was a real good experience for me.
Decent hotel under the strange and quite wide "boutique" category. Its run down but thats fine, has a nice homey appartment feel to it. Had some serious problems with one girl in the reception. I said that this was the first hotel in Argentina that I stayed at, where you had to pay extra for wifi and breakfast. She apparently didn't like that comment and ranted about for the rest of our stay, with bitter remarks and strangely misplaced comments. Besides that, it was ok. Still strange though, with no wifi and no breakfast.

First of all, the pictures on their website are deceiving. The hotel is very run down. Upon check-in, we were greeted by the maids who did not speak English. They were very nice, but my Spanish sucks and the hotel claimed to have English speaking desk staff. Since they don't have 24 hour desk workers, I was unable to inquire about the hotel's services at that time.
I chose to stay here because they claimed to offer spa services. THEY DID NOT! The owner told me that Argentina was a very religious country so no one would be available to give massages at any time during my stay. I also emailed to schedule spa appointments before I arrived, but never received a response. The spa is the only reason I chose this hotel over Recoleta.
The hotel also claims to have many other services like room service, currency exchange, wine tasting, etc. There's no room service or currency exchange; they couldn't even provide change in Argentine pesos after charging me $40pesos for 24 hrs of wifi.
Housekeeping leaves the doors and windows open during and after cleaning the rooms, with no regard for the security of the guest's belongings. You have to wait for someone to open the front door.
I also read a TripAdvisor review from earlier in the year that complained about "breakfast buffet" pictures on their website being deceptive. The owner, responded that they now offered scrambled eggs and omelettes, THIS IS UNTRUE. The breakfast still consists of rolled up ham and cheese and bread.
Nice people owning the hotel and the location is pretty good. But the standard of the room was not great. It didn't have a window and the toilet broke down. We had to move to another room, also with no window, but in this one the lights in the bathroom broke down. There was a jacuzzi in the bathroom but it looked rather old and not very clean. The A/C was not cooling enough. But - after all we got a super low rate so it was very cheap and with that in mind I think value for money was OK.

Vale a pena.
I arrived at this hotel after having spent a week at a standard hotel in the Microcenter. The difference was overwhelming. From a very busy and chaotic atmosphere in the central downtown area, this little oasis was perfect for relaxing a few days.
I thoroughly enjoyed walking around the area. The hotel is located in Palermo Hollywood. A few minutes of walk will also take you to Palermo Soho, both being trendy nightlife areas, although this was not noticeable from inside the hotel. You will have to take a taxi or walk a few blocks to the metro to get downtown to the Microcenter, but the taxi ride should be affordable - max 25 pesos or about 6 USD.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and attentive, but informal. There were fx no uniforms, which made me feel a lot more like home. The staff gave me their full attention throughout the stay and made me feel comfortable in their company - which is my number one criteria for good service and which is not necessarily accomplished by even the most expensive hotels. They went out of their way to make me satisfied.
Having said this, a few things must be mentioned. For example the minibar which was empty. Apparently they didn't have minibar merchandise in stock and had run out of its contents. I wouldn't have used it anyway, so it wasn't really a problem (and there was a 24h open kiosk just outside), but when there is a minibar in the room you should really be able to fill it even if it's not top season. Same thing happened with the internet access, which was free wi-fi, but they ran out of cards at my last day so I had to use the reception computer. Again, not really a problem for me, but I can understand if other people would be annoyed, and it does imply that they have some kind of logistical challenges.
Otherwise I have no complaints about the premises. The room was amazing, a stone room with a high ceiling and an open bathroom - very romantic for those looking for that (the actual WC was naturally in a separate room). The courtyard from which you entered the rooms, was very charming and with a wall-size replica of a Salvador Dali self-portrait - bonus points for that. The common room was cozy and nice and the breakfast was splendid.
I recommend this hotel if you don't expect 5-star luxury or immediate access to downtown areas, but settle for friendliness, a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful part of Buenos Aires.
