  • The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Bruges, Belgium. Originally built in the 12th century as the chapel of the residence of the Count of Flanders, the church houses a venerated relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders. Built between 1134 and 1157, it was promoted to minor basilica in 1923. The 12th-century basilica is located in the Burg square and consists of a lower and upper chapel. The lower chapel dedicated to St. Basil the Great is a dark Romanesque structure that remains virtually unchanged. The venerated relic is in the upper chapel, which was rebuilt in the Gothic style during the 16th century and renovated multiple times during the 19th century in Gothic Revival style. Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium, in the northwest of the country. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, such as Amsterdam, it is sometimes referred to as The Venice of the North. Bruges has a significant economic importance thanks to its port and was once one of the world's chief commercial cities. La ubicación es excelente. Está remodelado y en excelente estado. El problema es que uno comparte la sala y el comedor con otra familia y esto no lo avisan Al momento de la reserva. Tampoco reciben tarjeta.

Sehr netter Empfang durch den Eigentümer , der auch gleich gute Tipps gab. die Lage ist zentral man ist mit wenigen schritten im Zentrum. Für eine Familie optimal- wir waren 5 gute Freundinnen , dadurch war es auch mit einem Badezimmer gut zu meistern. Die Küche ist prima ausgestattet und der Wohnbereich angenehm mit der grossen Terasse. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Misrepresented. This does not come with any kitchen facilities; the facilities are the property owners and these are also shared with another room. We couldn’t even make a cup of tea. One of the two double beds was on a mezzanine floor accessible only by a very steep ladder so unless you are very mobile and this is not the property for you .

Excellent accommodation in the heart of Bruges!

B-Square was perfect for an overnight stay in Bruges for our family of 2 adults and 3 young children. Pieter-Jan was an amazing host and took the time to give us some great tips on what to see/do during our visit. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen and living space are shared which was not a problem for us given that we were primarily out of the hotel the majority of our stay exploring the beautiful city of Bruges. Highly recommend!

Great self catering accommodation everything you need if you don't want to eat out. Close to the centre a max 5 minutes walk if you do want to eat out. Rooms had loads of space and were very clean, beds really comfortable, however the second bed was in a loft space, nothing wrong with that,but steep ladders are a bit tricky.
