"An absolutely miserable, sleepless night. I get it - they have no control over what Mother Nature throws their way ... but no air conditioning! Really??!! Hot and muggy weather - without AC - made sleeping out of the reach. I went downstairs at 1:00 AM to ask for a glass of ice water. No one was available to accommodate the request. The only person there was security, and he had no idea where the night attendant was, and nor did he know when he'd return. Pathetic. Unfortunately, the guard was...

"This hotel sits right next to the train station so while it is convenient when using the trains, it is not in the most beautiful part of the city and the trains are very loud at night if you have a room facing the tracks (we did). The do provide ear plugs and I used them so that did help. The beds/pillows were not super comfortable so our sleep quality was not great while we stayed in Cork. They do have an awesome gym in the hotel that I was able to use. The lobby of the hotel has a nice bar...
