We were on our way from Perth to the Southern outskirts of Brisbane and very tired. I booked online and when we arrived the lady at reception was friendly we said it was already paid she explained why she needed our card details that was fine. The room had a jumbo tv that was great compared to where we are tonight. It was a little squeezy to get in the bathroom and air con was old and noisy. We did turn off but the room retained the heat beautifully as it was 8° in the morning . Would we stay again...? Yes we would. We didnt take photos sorry but it has a lovely European charm.

Lovely managers Janelle and Troy . They have just taken over management and are making lots of improvements they are friendly and willing to help with anything you need. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The motel is within a few minutes walking distance of the town of Broken Hill . Very good value for money

Our upgraded room was satisfactory, but aged. The bed was very soft and difficult to sleep in as it sagged in the middle. The bathroom was quite small. Outside lighting shone through a window above the door. This had to be blocked prior to going to bed. The window curtain barely covered the window at night, requiring pegs to hold it shut.

I guess it gets back to the term you only get what you pay for. Firstly, we arrived early towing a trailer hoping we could leave the trailer until check in time and go into town for something to eat,only to be advised that you are way to early and the woman was pissed of at our arrival time. She finally agreed for us to unhook the trailer and Then took her forever to find me, so I said I booked through wotif and I can give you a ref number. She seemed annoyed that the booking was through wotif because it’s not Australian and the money goes over seas. Why sign up with wotif if you don’t like them ? Our first impressions was that this person was very rude Oh, and don’t be fooled with the nice pic on the web page ,If your not paying top dollar you get a room that obviously needs an upgrade as seen in the pics Maybe she was having a bad day, but that’s no way to treat your clients

The property has not been updated for a long time. The room was hot but outside temp was not bad but no airflow in the room. They were very keen to make sure we were gone by 10AM on the dot. Won't stay there again.

The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in a while, dust, hair and grasshopper in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable though. The staff need to brush up on their customer service. Was only provided one key. When ringing site manager at 10 pm I was let in and yelled at. Very unprofessional and rude.

Well like often the picture to the room you book online often did not represent what you end up with. the condition of the room was nice, clean and comfortable it was in the Motel section of the Lodge and not one of the rooms in the lodge itself which the picture of booking showed. It was good for one night but I will be a bit more careful in the future.

Rooms with a Queen size bed were carved out of what appeared to be the former garage. Room was not much bigger than the bed. Walls are paper thin, bathroom door is a sliding barn door - no privacy. Place is noisy, bathroom is not too small, needs upgrades and improved safety and aeration updates. Office iis seldom staffed and specific requests were ignored. Not worth any price you might be able to get.

We have never felt so unwelcome when checking-in to a hotel/motel. The facilities were adequate, although bare floorboards in the bedroom area in winter were a surprise - whatever happened to the idea of a couple of floor rugs? The receptionist was abrupt and unwelcoming at check-in - an attitude that was maintained throughout our 2 night stay . I would not recommend this property to anyone
