"Me and my daughter stayed overnight bed comfortable the only thing bedroom bit small . breakfast nice staff friendly beautiful views definitely go back again

"Lovely hotel in a great location. Views over Windermere are amazing. The car park can be a tight squeeze for larger cars. The premises features a very large pub on the ground floor, which is used for a great breakfast for guests. Reception desk for hotel guests is in the bar. The bedroom was very well appointed, clean and spacious. The only issue that I had was that the staff were a little inattentive... Unnecessary waits to be served, tables in restaurant/bar area were not cleared quickly, not...
"The hotel itself feels a little tired, but the rooms have been fully refurbished and the beds are very comfortable. Our window only opened slightly, though a good floor fan was provided. Parking on-site is a big plus, and it’s an easy walk into town. Ambleside is absolutely gorgeous and well worth a visit."
"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere.
The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets.
All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "
"The Hawksmoor staff were very welcoming, the room was good sized and very clean. The breakfast was brilliant as in we could choose what we wanted and it was all freshly cooked."
"Lovely clean, comfortable, friendly, welcoming hotel in an amazing setting.
Room was perfect. Even had a mini fridge to keep your milk in. There was flapjacks and a bottle of beer in the room to enjoy. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked with local ingredients.
We will book again."
