"This is a beautiful old inn in the heart of the Cotswolds. It was very convenient to all the places and sites we were planning to see. There are some hikes close by, and they provided maps and directions. The restaurant had a very good menu with lots of choices. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very pleasant and helpful."

"Stopped here for a few nights as we had a wedding to attend. All was good though I am a light sleeper and did have trouble due to a low pitched hum that persisted through the night. As we weren't staying long we didn't ask to move to a quieter room. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest you make it clear when you book that you need somewhere quiet. The food was good and reasonably priced and the bar prices were not as steep as some we have encountered in other hotels."

"Really enjoyed our night here for our anniversary. Room was bright, airy and clean and the hotel was very nice. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. One thing we did notice is that it does require some maintenance on the outside. Our room was on the 1st floor, with a small balcony. Although the weather was fine, we were unable to sit out there as there was too much sitting rainwater, and from looking on the ground up, the balcony edges were worn and looking tired/ messy. "The Bell Inn was gorgeous it would have received a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the staffing issues. Housekeeping had failed to turn up that day and they hadn’t realised until nearly checking time so we never got into our room until 5.45. The staff dealt with this delay professionally and we were served with complimentary drinks. This caused us a bit of an issue as we had to leave at 6.15 for a meal elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again if in this area."
