"Room very basic, tired, dated. Smelt like strong bleach. Furniture scuffed. No wardrobe or drawers for clothes. Shower was hot and powerful though"

"The receptionist lady was very help and very friendly the whole reception, halls and rooms where very clean and spacious I think we stayed in 114 and I’ve already booked a 2 night stay 18-20 march although I only stayed last week I’m back in Leicster next week so I’m booked and staying here again "

Highly recommended- safe, clean, lovely complimentary breakfast full of choice and quality, polite friendly and helpful staff, room was full of character and charm, spacious, comfortable, clean and can’t wait for our next visit. Cute and comfortable 4 poster bed. A real gem! The local pub Tollymache Arms was a real treat for dinner. Looking forward to visiting again soon! "

"Overall pleasant accommodation although the arrival/ check in process was a little bit confusing, not helped by the poorly lit surroundings. Rooms are modern, warm and cosy, although pillows didn’t have cases and quite a bit of the previous guest’s hair on both the pillow and in the shower."

"Couldn't fault this hotel at all. From the beautiful grounds, the grandeur of the building, the impeccable customer service, the delicious food, the spacious, elegant room, the clean, luxurious spa. The drinks were a tad on the pricey side, but the mid week room price including spa access was excellent value for money. Would come here again in heartbeat. "

"Lovely cosy hotel,room was clean and staff very helpful. I stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed my stay there. The hotel is situated in the center of town but not noisy,i had a room overlooking the back. I would stay there again when visiting Rugby "

"The whole unit was exactly as described and expected. Self contained with kettle, fridge and microwave(bonus!). Lovely quiet village area. Very comfortable bed and great ensuite bathroom with excellent and powerful shower cubicle. An optional help yourself breakfast facility is a new concept which we didnt use this time, but thought a great idea. We would definitely stay again as the price is very competitive. One small suggestion would be for a choice of some deeper pillows maybe?"

"Spa access not clearly disclosed and disappointing stay We chose Barton Hall Hotel & Spa largely because of its high Expedia rating and the expectation of enjoying the spa during our stay. However, on arrival we were told that spa access for hotel guests is not guaranteed, as day spa and twilight bookings can take priority. This came as a surprise because the spa is presented as a complimentary amenity at the time of booking on the Expedia listing, with no indication that access may depend on...
