Great value for money and comfortable rooms

Lovely place with really helpful staff and good food. We stayed ofernight to meet friends and celebrate a birthday. Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced and breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. There is a good choice of food on the dinner menu. The rooms were good for the price and breakfast was included. There is a nice deating area in the bar and a separate dining area and a small but pleasant garden at the front with tables etc. Plenty of free parking on site. A great place to meet up and we will be returning in the future.

Stayed 2 nights at Bower Inn, had lunch there as we were a little early for check- in. Very nice , they informed us when room was ready and showed us to our room in person. Room was exceptionally nice and modern. Breakfast was ample and was served by very friendly staff. Would stay again

A great find!

A lovely night stay - I was impressed with the spacious room I was allocated and the quality of the furniture and fittings. The room was lovely and warm. Breakfast menu was fantastic and a very good choice of items provided. The only downside was trying to find it as the postcode took me to a housing estate and I got very lost!

Amazing room and hotel. Luxury room with a bathtub in was amazing. Staff friendly and hotel spotless. 5/5 would definitely stay again. One slight criticism but nothing much was the pillows were uncomfortable, could do with firm pillows. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We stayed overnight before heading off for a wedding. Staff were all exceptional and super friendly. Room was perfect and contained everything we needed. Loved the flask for fresh milk. Breakfast was the best and of good quality - much better than the four star hotel we stayed in the night before! Would not hesitate to stay here again and have already recommended it to family and friends. Well done to all concerned.

Nice room

Nice spacious room set a quiet location. My only complaint would be The doors need soft closes put on them as they slam shut if you’re asleep they wake you up. Have to go back to Bridgewater in a couple of weeks unfortunately I will not be staying as they want £180 a night. Bridgewater is not central London.

Charming Somerset retreat

It really doesn't get any better than The Bower Inn. Nestled on the edge of the Somerset Levels near Bridgwater, this stunning 18th-century pub, restaurant, and hotel is a true delight. As part of the Butcombe Brewery family, The Bower Inn offers a charming blend of history and modern comfort. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by warm and welcoming staff, making you feel right at home. The inn features 16 beautifully individual hotel rooms, each exuding character and charm. With easy access to the M5, it's the perfect spot whether you're exploring the area for pleasure or passing through on business. The Bower Inn excels in delivering value for money. I booked my stay for less than £130 through @Hotels.com. ,which is a steal considering the quality of the accommodation. The rooms are cosy and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of The Bower Inn is its food. The restaurant serves stunning seasonal dishes that showcase the best of local produce. The selection of cask ales, craft beers, ciders, wines, and cocktails is excellent, catering to every taste. The English breakfast is a particular treat, setting you up perfectly for the day ahead. Set in the rural part of Bridgwater, The Bower Inn offers a peaceful retreat with picturesque surroundings. It's one of my favourite places to stay for both its charm and value for money. Honeymoon Stay

Booked to stay for our honeymoon weekend. Hotel.com's description of the rooms was that the bathrooms included baths & showers, we booked on this basis. I sent a request to the hotel to ensure we had a room with a bath and that also this was our honey weekend. When we arrived we were shown to a room that only had a shower when we asked about our request the person checking us in tried to see what they could do, it seems that our notes had not been read until then. Unfortunately, the other rooms were booked out and we were offered a bottle of bubbly for the trouble, we advised that we didn't drink alcohol, in which we were offered complementary soft drinks instead, but these never arrived. It was a bit deflating that the Inn didn't do anything or weren't even aware that it was our honeymoon, not that we expected a great deal, but it would for made our stay more special, as it was a very special occasion for us and were just left after being offered complimentary drinks that never showed up. When trying to do the checkout, the automatic system advised us that we had an outstanding invoice, even though we already prepaid it. Fortunately, there was someone at the desk to help clarify the issue. The Inn itself was lovely, very clean and cosy. The breakfast was delicious, and lots of local choices. The room was comfortable as well, the only issue was the doors are heavy and the hallway is very echoey, so you can hear people entering and leaving their rooms which seems very loud.
