Isle of Man

The "Winkie" lighthouse at the Point of Ayre is a great spot for some pictures.

There is absolutely nothing there, but having driven through the flat lands on the North of the Isle of Man, you arrive to find 2 stunning lighthouses.

This is the little brother of the 2, located in the middle of the beach.

Part of the Rad ny foillan, Seagull Way coastal path. Point of Ayre. Most northerly point of the Isle of Man.
Marram Grass on the dunes A typical section of upper beach on the edge of The Ayres, with marram grass aplenty.
The hill north-east of Ballavair, Bride. On top of this hill is a mound which was recorded as "having been opened by boys in the 1920s". We may never know it was a Viking burial mound or something much older. The hill is next to the sea and rises to 68m, and would be ideal for a Viking burial which were often positioned with a view of the sea. This picture is taken from A10 Ramsey-Bride Road looking east.
