"The hotel is showing its age, its carpets are worn & stained. The whole interior reminded me of the 1980's . But the bed linens appeared clean. there was hot water & the building while quite full with many young people was quiet enough to get rest. But if you need a cork screw, the front desk can't help you, make sure you have soap and shampoo of your own, as it's not worth using their sample packs. the ' breakfast' is very basic . its at best a 2 star motel."

L’hôtesse, Carmen, est très accueillante, une artiste en soit. Par ailleurs, la maison est tapissée par ses œuvres, des magnifiques tableaux!! "Good peaceful location next to St Peters Canal "swing bridge", a beautiful view of Bras d'Or Lake. Good dinner atmosphere with local artists performing in dining room four nights a week. A little old and worn in appearance, but comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the guest laundry (washer) was not working the entire time we stayed here."

"This motel is the best I’ve ever stayed at in North America. It was incredibly clean, fresh, and smelled great—no typical motel smell. Everything was modern, including touch lamps with USB-C charging ports and power adapters with USB charging. The new paint job added to the overall appeal, and the bathrooms were spotless, with nothing loose or leaking. Parking was in front of your room. Highly recommend this motel!"

"Innkeeper was friendly and helpful at check in. Motel is small and showing its age. Exterior entrance door featured a wood block addition apparently to repair a prior forced entry. The advertised lake view out of the back entry door is blocked by the owner’s expansion into large tent units. Staying here was okay but humbling."
