"Clean and spacious room, breakfast lovely and great choice. Area is beautiful. Lovely view from room. Staff very helpful. Only personal dislike was the dogs in restaurant but it's a dog friendly hotel so can't complain. 5* stay. Thank you"

"Robyn and Chris were wonderful hosts. After booking we sent an email explaining we are elderly travelers and if possible would appreciate a ground floor room to avoid stairs. They responded promptly saying they would ensure we had a ground floor room. Our room and the commons area were spotless. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. And we rode a ferry to Ambleside then took the 599 bus back to Bowness and one of its stops was on the corner by Oakfold House. So convenient! Ten thumbs up."
