"The hotel is with a great view of the lake and can spend good time chilling in front of it. The rooms have good amenities and are clean. Commutation to restaurants, market place and activities are within 5-20 min drive time. The place is also equipped with electric fireplace."

"We enjoyed our stay and didn’t have any problems while we were there. This a self-checkin place, so we didn’t meet any staff but everything was well explained and provided in advance that we didn’t need to contact them. The location is also a few minutes from the village, which is very convenient. The one thing that we were not prepared for was the coyote screams in the middle of night, but now that we know how they sound like we won’t be scared next time."

"The place is older so don’t expect everything to be brand new but, it’s clean and cozy. Lots of heaters, fireplace, hot tub in room and in the middle for pricing. Staff is very helpful and was available to help us with the tv and fireplace. Definitely recommend but don’t hit for persons with super high expectations. We had a great time and will be back in the future."

"The hottub was really the sweet spot, cabin was nice overall, the a/c and airflow sucked, had difficulty sleeping due to lack of airflow and it being hot, big bear is a little packed and overrated, not much to do. Good if you want a weekend getaway, not much else."

Cons- You can hear everything from the room above you, even someone zipping a zipper. Ask for an upstairs room. "The fireplace worked,but the jet spa didn't, the blinds need replacing & the other window was above the tub,so hard to get to. The mattress was so old & lumpy, I hardly got any sleep, the lazy boy chair didn't stay extended. The Location was great, the area was serene & quaint. Accessible to downtown & restos."

"The room seemed clean but windows were very hard to close at night and full of spider webs. The bed was very high so hard to climb into being we are 78 yrs old. There was no Kleenex tissues at all, the body lotion bottle I guess hadn't been used in a while because you could not pump anything out of the bottle. "You can check into the property by texting and then you are issued the lobby and room codes. I didnt know this and Expedia doesnt provide the property with a phone number to be contacted at. Andrew was great and very approachable and helpful. The main building needs to be opened up to air out the lobby and hotel area upstairs. It had a dusty odor. Property is kept up nicely.
