Very friendly and helpful staff on arrival and throughout stay. Room was a great size and clean, beds were comfortable. hotel is very convenient for both BIC and The Pavilion. There is a very noisy and late club/bar on the premises at the weekend...we were warned about this by email after booking. The reception even offer complimentary ear-plugs, so be warned!

Overall a brilliant stay couldn’t be any closer to the BIC where we were seeing a show. Cocktails were some of the best ever tried especially the French martini’s loved the evening entertainment the hotels staff were amazing but always had a smile! The bar staff were class the speed of service and their cocktail skills were amazing. Thank you so much roy Exeter hotel we will be back

Dated, noisy but nice staff
Very dated, very cold no room thermostat, very loose fitting windows, put in the room directly above the late night bar so very noise till late, staff great, breakfast great

Beware of the noise
We had a great room with a 4 poster bed The issue was the noise of the nightclub which went on to 4am. Dont stay on a Friday or Saturday.

Perfect for the BIC
the hotel is in amazing location, brilliant for the BIC. It is an older place and things like carpets and bannisters need a little TLC. The hotel are up front about the night club and bar onsite, but to be fair, it didn't disturb us at all. rook was comfortable. Not our first visit, and wont be our last

Would return
Stayed here before, so booked again to visit the Xmas lights. We didn't have to pay for parking and the reception gentleman was very friendly. The room was clean, and very warm and there were toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was really good. The only downside is that when we returned in the evening we were hoping to get some food, however it was a very limited menu which was kind of sushi and oriental. It would have been nice if they could have offered a bar snack menu, even if it was only a burger. Other than this we could not fault the hotel

It was good, my first time in Bournemouth, a bit cold in the hotel, the heating was on timing only on in the morning, the price was a bit higher, could do better. I prefer Devon than Dorset

We got a message after the reservation was done about the bar/club. The noise was louder than we thought. The window in the room can use some new paint, and the ceiling in the bedroom could use some new plaster. The window was a but drafty

its a hotel to stay to sleep overnight ...well no ..theres a nighclub open til 3am and a cocktail club open til 1am ..u hear base music all night and thars with us stsying on top.floor ..other guests were all complaining amongst ourselves while eating breakfast ( which was good brekkie ). added to that the fire alarm went off 530am as someone was smoking in room .

Location great, good breakfast, rubbish room.
The bar area and reception were lovely. The room though was really sad and dated. It was a good size, but carpets were horrible, furniture was 1980's. We booked the four poster bed. It had a TV screwed to the top, nasty yellowed net curtains near the headboard. Not romantic. The bathroom had lino peeling away, bath panel didn't fit, the door looked like it had been cut to size with a butter knife. It was like Homes under the Hammer before they start the work. But location for BIC was great, and we did enjoy the breakfast. Just AFTER making our non-refundable booking we received an email stating that there is a night club on site and guests cannot expect a good nights sleep...

Really enjoyed my stay which exceeded my expectations. The welcome was friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and well-appointed, some might say that the décor is a little dated though.

Mediocre at Best
It was an ok hotel. It is older, but relatively clean. The carpets need replacing. Walking barefoot, the floor felt old and dirty. Always wore shoes. Apparently we didn’t know about the lounge and loud band until 3-3:30 in tue morning. Did not really bother us, but they are loud. Be warned if you’re a light sleeper. They did have a room that accommodated 4 in our family, so guess it was a trade off. Not sure the price justified the condition of the hotel and it’s location. There is a dirt parking lot next door that is reasonable in price, but the hotel is only £1.50 more if you park with them. Hotel looks good at night. Only pic I took.

accessible room NOT accessible.
disabled room was definitely not disabled friendly. A perching stool used as a showerchair. No room to open shower doors as one blocked by sink. No room to transfer onto toilet, a surround was given! No room under bed to use our hoist. TV remote not working.

When checking in the person behind the counter did not seam to pleased that we had booked through hotels.com If we wanted breakfast and a car parking space we should have booked directly! One more than one occasion we encountered a RAT! So not a good stay

The staff were friendly. The position was good and close to the sea front and shops. The negatives are my too being directly under bar 1812 was too noisy and only being emailed after the booking to say there could be noise after paying upfront and then having no choice but to go so knowing before booking would have given me the choice. The room was large but needs up dating especially the carpet as my mum is elderly and she was tripping up on the carpet as it was not flat to the floor so a trip hazard. Honestly I would not go again due to not knowing if there is going to be loud noise from the bar. The nightclub we heard no noise at all considering there was a Uni party going on whilst we were there. Of your happy to not worry about late party noise then I’d recommend it but if you want a quieter hotel then this is not for you.

The hotel put us as 2 adults and 2 children on the second floor above a nightclub, the music was thumping until 3:30am , kids got no sleep and made the stay very uncomfortable. I would not stay here again , this hotel should choose weather it’s a stag /hen hotel or a family hotel , clearly doesn’t work as both

Good place - if you don’t mind noise
The room we had was good, and absolutely loved the beds and was very comfortable. Only issue in the heat was that our room was a little warm so we had our windows open - big mistake with the nightclub going until 4am, plus police turning up! I would carefully check their opening times for their nightclub and bar before booking - otherwise you will be in for a disturbed stay if noise keeps you awake. The breakfast was very nice however, we had been promptly seated and our orders taken. Full English was good and there was plenty of the standard cereals/pastries/toast etc available. Overall a good stay - just make sure you’re aware of the nightclub and bar!
