"We arrived in Bologna by train for a 2-night stay and the Starhotels Excelsior was a great place to land. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station and within a 20 minute walk to the center of town, which made it ideal for our needs. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient, and the room was spacious - you could walk around without tripping over suitcases - with a comfortable bed. Also, it was very quiet inside the room - any noise from the street below did not reach inside our room. The hotel was a basic place to stay for a couple of nights and met our needs perfectly."

"The location was great only 5 min walk from Piazza Maggiore, and lots of amenities nearby. Staff were helpful. My room was clean, but the carpets in the main common areas look like they are the same age as the building. That would be my only criticism.
