"We stayed in the presidential suite for almost a week prior to Xmas. The room was absolutely wonderful and huge and the bed was very comfortable. We even had an xmas tree in our room! The rest of the facilities were good as well. The location is perfect and you can basically walk anywhere in Leiden from here. In a couple of minutes you're in downtown. Surroundings are still peaceful. The only thing that was not as advertised is that for our entire stay we had a baby in the room above us. Given that it is an old wood frame building, there is some noise. The website of the hotel says adults only, but this clearly wasnt the case. Outreach to the hotel went unanswered.."

"Zoetermeer is as bland a slice of modern suburbia as can be found, but if you have to stay here, then the Golden Tulip is an excellent option: great value, clean, good breakfast abd very helpful and efficient staff."

"Check in was automated and the code I was sent was incorrect so I wasted 45 minutes getting to my room. The room was large at first glance but there was no bathroom as such and it was cold. It’a quite dark (ina stylish sort of way) that made getting ready in the morning more of a challenge. The room was clean and in very good condition and the bed was comfortable. I didn’t opt for breakfast. A second stay might be easier now I have learned the lessons."
