"We had a delightful stay at Cawdor House, thanks in large part to the fabulous couple who own and run it. Their warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The room we stayed in was small but pleasant and well-kept. As you’d expect in an older house, the walls are a bit thin, but that’s part of the charm and character of a traditional building like this.
Breakfast was a highlight — a lovely continental spread, made even better by the fresh espresso in the...
"We were made to feel welcome on arrival by Connor. The food served at breakfast and in the bar was very good as was the service. The room we stayed in was comfortable and the shower was great. A perfect place to stay to explore Nairn."
"A beautiful and charming little guest house sits by the sea and nice beach where you can have a stroll with a drink. Lovely place and the staff ware all very friendly. We will def come back to stay longer. "
"We were initially very tensed as we are going to Europe for first time. Communicated with the owners (Karen & George), they were very friendly and eased our anxiety. Karen met us after we checked-in and she was very friendly and helpful. My wife and daughter liked the glamping area very much, its safe. I highly recommend if you are planning for a trip to Loch Ness and need a small private atmosphere."
"Hotel was very clean, I was in a single room so was fairly small, but adequate and very clean, bed was very comfortable.
All staff very friendly, great service and great breakfast. My second stay here and would definitely return. "
"The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! Our host David was so interesting as he regaled us with stories from his life in Asia. Highly recommend this BnB!"
"We’ve been to The Bandstand several times and it never disappoints. The accommodations are comfortable, the people are welcoming and helpful, the food is good, and they have good live music sometimes. The location is lovely- steps from the path along the beach and the river trail. We love The Bandstand and stay in Nairn rather than Inverness because of it. Nairn is a lovely little town on its own, but having a place to stay that checks all our boxes makes Nairn irresistible. "
"Simon, Jen and the children are lovely and could not have done more. Felt like we stayed with friends in the guest bedroom. Cannot thank them enough."
"Very highly recommended. The hotel has had a spruce up since I was last here and she's looking lovely. Very comfy beds and powerful shower with nice products. Great spa. Food and cocktails both delicious. Everyone super friendly and helpful. With local people coming in to use the pool or have a drink at the bar, it feels like part of the town as well rather than just a tourist enclave. We will be back. "
"great place to stay food great staff great this is a hotel we have stayed at before if you like a steak its a must to try the steak sizzler and they have music "
"We were touring around and this was a great location, with the beaches of Nairn nearby and good connections to travel wider afield to Inverness and Loch Ness in one direction and Aviemore in the other.
The facilities were what you'd expect and we enjoyed the bar and dining in the restaurant on both nights we stayed there - excellent food and service.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, with our many questions about places to go etc.
It was also fascinating to learn about the...
"What an amazing place to stay. From the cleanliness to comfort to amazing breakfast & the host Helen was really lovely. It felt like home away from home. Would highly recommend The Glen Lyon Lodge. Fantastic. 5 stars all the way. Thank you Helen for making me feel welcome & making my stay amazing. "
"The home is oit in the fields, away from town by about 4 miles, buy clean and quiet. Theresa was a delightful host and we were impressed with the cleanliness."
"Lovely hotel. Very comfortable and welcoming. The staff are all very friendly and helpful . The bar downstairs also very welcoming and the bar staff were really friendly. "
