"An experience to remember"

A true "safari" experience in the bush. Our every need was catered for in a professional and friendly manner. The food was exceptional too ! The warmth and hospitality of the staff was outstanding. Particularly our professional game guide Ryan. He went out of his way to make our encounters with the animals something to remember.

Outstanding Experience

This is a truely outstanding lodge. Even without animal watching the game drives are already fantastic due to the stunning landscape of the reserve. Nevertheless we had also great animal spotting. We stayed in the Camdeboo Manor and enjoyed our room and the facilities like garden and pool. 100% recommendation!

Wunderbarer Ort für ein paar Tage zum Ausspannen

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in Camdeboo. Sehr freundlicher Staff, der wirklich versucht, alles möglich zu machen. Sehr schöne Landschaft. Sehr gut ausgebildete Ranger, die unglaublich engagiert Einblick in die Flora und Fauna des Reservats geben. Abends sehr leckeres Essen von der Küchenchefin, allerdings keinerlei Wahlmöglichkeit. Sonntags Brunch im Freien. Jedes der drei Gästehäuser hat einen Pool. ACHTUNG: um in das Gelände zu kommen, benötigt man einen AKTUELLEN Pin für das erste Gate, der vom Hotel selber NICHT übermittelt wird. Diesen nicht zu kennen, hat bei einigen Gästen dazu geführt, dass sie nicht ins Gelände gekommen sind und bis zu einer Stunde bei 35 Grad Hitze am Gate warten mussten, bis zufällig ein Gast oder Mitarbeiter am Tor ankam, der den Code kannte. Telefonate sind vom Tor aus nicht möglich. Das Hotel ist von der Straße aus auch nicht wirklich ausgeschildert. Man muss dem Lodge Zeichen Mount Camdeboo folgen, sonst sind große Irrfahrten angesagt. Die Anfahrt ab dem ersten Gate ist mit mehr als 30-40 Minuten - je nach Wetterlage und Auto - einzuplanen. Im Gästehaus selber gibt es keine Zimmer-Schlüssel, was für manche evtl befremdlich erscheint. Wer es einfach haben möchte, übernachtet im Haupthaus, da man sonst zum Haupthaus laufen muss oder abgeholt / zurückgebracht wird. Es gibt leider überall nur sehr wenige Steckdosen und schlechtes WLAN. Dennoch auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! Hier werden Chitas gezüchtet, was ziemlich einzigartig ist.

Safaris waren super. Der Guide war total kompetent, hat sich ganz viel Mühe gegeben. Sind bis auf zehn Meter an Geparden angenähert (zu Fuss) !!

Ein traumhaftes Fleckchen Erde !!!

Super schöne und gemütliche lodge in einem privaten Reservat umgeben von Bergen. Die Einrichtung und der Service sind perfekt. Wir haben noch nie so etwas schönes gesehen !! Pool, garten sind ebenfalls ein Traum. Das Personal überschlägt sich fast vor Bemühen. Essen super. Es herrscht eine familiäre Atmosphäre und die Managerin ist sehr nett und behilflich. Die Safari war authentisches Afrika, wenn auch nicht so viele Tiere. Der Sundowner auf dem Berg machte alles wett. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Es war besser , als alle anderen lodges.

Lodge in wunderschöner Lage

Die Lodge ist unglaublich schön, die Mitarbeiter äußerst zuvorkommend, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Überragender Fahrer bei den Game Drives. Leider ist die Tierwelt sehr eingeschränkt, für Fotographen eher wegen der Landschaft als wegen der Tiere spannend. Das Abendessen (typisches Braai) fanden wir eher enttäuschend, das Frühstück war ganz OK.
