Don’t touch

I don’t know where their excellent rating came from! This property is substandard to say the least. Holes in the sheets, walls dirty & room needed a coat of paint. Towel frayed & falling apart. Wire hangers, no accessible walk plugs. Bathroom & toilet carpets filthy. Etc etc I can go on but my point made

Disappointed / unhappy

On arrival, the receptionist wanted us to take her to the shop. In the room, fridge does not get moved to sweep dust underneath. The bedside lights had no sockets to plug lights in. The same lady (on our arrival), did not want to make scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs for us, the client. The bacon was done to hard. Front and back doors were open while wind / cold air was blowing inside and around dining area where we were eating. Staff was definitely not profesional or considerate. If there is no improvement, Bountyful Guest House will not be seeing me again or getting any referrals from me.

Nice stay

It was only an overnight stay but after a long trip it was great to be able to stretch out on a soft and cosy bed. The linen was clean and crisp. The room also has a great shower which I enjoyed tremendously. Plus points: Clean and neat Cosy bed Great shower Deluxe with bath and shower has an unexpectedly nice colour scheme Breakfast was nice but not done as I asked Disappointments: On arrival, patron was not welcoming No milk, only powdered milk (2 sachets) Bed lamps - no bulbs Swimming pool was an eye sore No vanity mirror, had to bend down in the bathroom to use the mirror No curtains in bathroom Half of the cupboard was inaccessible due to side table Noisy from neighbouring room where patron stays I assume In all it was nice but there is definitely room for improvement

Not the most comfortable for an overnight stopover

Clean, friendly service and decent breakfast BUT probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept (or rather, not slept) in. Sagged in the middle and whenever either myself or my husband moved you nearly bounced the other one off the bed. Also, the bathroom windows are clear glass with nothing but a sheer voile curtain for privacy, so needless to say I elected to skip the shower rather than give the neighbours a show!!
