"Avoid Room 22 floor, doors, bed squeaked. Door for the corridor was right next to our room every time someone opened it , it banged shut and the whole room shook. The boiler must also be close to the room or a main pipe noise from it all night ! Staff were all very nice and helpful. We had pre-booked a table for dinner stating not in the middle of the room or in between two others disappointed when it was bang smack right in the middle and no other tables we could have . Wouldn’t stay again. "

"Stayed in a superior pod, very contemporary, comfortable, clean, and well insulated from the weather with lovely views of the loch and mountains. Not much in the immediate area food wise (would need to drive to Balloch for any alternative dining options) but the food at Oaktree was lovely, tasty and filling. Good choice of whisky too."

"The staff are amazing all friendly, cheery and helpful. The hotel has a nice homely feel to it, with a mix of modern and traditional styles. The grounds are immaculate and the rooms are clean and spacious. As for the food it is delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely return."

"This is a beautiful hotel, the castle is lovely but the new building is gorgeous. The room was a good size and was very tastefully decorated, and we had plenty of tea and coffee. The staff are very friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, served in the main bar area. "

"Easy check in with large spacious car park at rear. Very comfy bed and good quality linen. Only 1 chair in room when there was room for a 2nd - I hate having to sit on a bed in a hotel room. Nice clean bathroom, with big fluffy towels. Luggage rack and large wardrobe space. Iron and ironing board, plus hairdryer. No usb sockets, but plenty of 3-pin sockets. Our room was in the basement but was very quiet, and we slept well. Little box of treats in room and a kettle with tea, coffee and...
