"This is a perfectly serviceable airport hotel, one of two major ones very near the Bilbao airport. Fairly basic compared to a "fancy" hotel in the city, and (like 99% of European hotels) lacking washcloths. But, comfy beds, quiet rooms, an excellent breakfast spread, a decent bar, and really a short ride to the city. What's not to love? The airport shuttle starts at 5 a.m. and has limited capacity. But, the staff is well aware of the early morning flight schedule to get everyone there in plenty...

"Beautiful hotel in the hills northeast of Bilbao. Easy to find, and as convenient as can be expected to drive in and out of the city for a few days. Unlike many places in Spain, good reliable air conditioning. Note that the “Family” room is just one room, so no privacy for anyone sleeping in either of the two beds. Hotel restaurant was good, not great, but good value."

"Vi hadde en supert opphold. Servicen i resepsjonen er eksepsjonell. Fem minutters gange til Guggenheim museeet og 10 minutter til gamlebyen. Kort vei til sentrum. Store gode senger med utsøkt sengetøy. Spør i resepsjonen etter tips til blant annet restaurant, de er svært dyktige og innehar god informasjon og kompetanse. "

"Flott og nyoppusset hotell med svømmebasseng på taket. Sentralt plassert i hovedgata Gran Via i den nye delen av sentrum. Vi hadde rom mot bakgården, men jeg tror også rommene mot gata er bra støyisolert."

"We loved our spacious river view room and appreciated the nice little welcome touches and cleanliness of the entire hotel. The king sized bed was very comfortable as were the pillows and we loved the bathroom and free slippers. The staff at Hotel Tayko were friendly and helpful and we would stay there again if we make it back to beautiful Bilbao. Great location for our 4 day stay, walkable to almost everything. "
