An autumn day at Big Bend National Park in West Texas, USA. The unique landscapes in West Texas are incredible to see! The natural landmarks there aren't as well known as the ones in Arizona and Utah but they are still epic, desolate and isolated! I'm from Texas but on the other side of Texas. It thus took about 9 or 10 hours to drive from Houston. I'm glad it was my father who drove ;). Because the scenery outside the window was incredible for the last few hours of the drive. And once inside the national park then it was even more awesome!

After a long weekend of full day hikes up to the second highest peak in Texas, a soak in the hot springs is all you need to recover. Blue sky above, blue Rio Grande, and blue spring water all around you! When you get too hot in the springs, you can always dip into the cold Rio Grande on the other side of the wall - just be careful you don't accidentally end up in Mexico!
